👑✨ A ROYAL DAY AT LIONS CLUB! ✨👑

Today, we enjoyed a royal treat as we said goodbye to our outgoing Queen, Maribel Montelongo, and Princess, Chayce Campbell. 💕 As we listened to their heartfelt farewell speeches, we reflected on the wonderful year they have given to our Club. We sincerely thank them for their service, dedication, and the memories they have made along the way!

We are excited to welcome our new Queen, Jaylee Nixon, and Princess, Zailey Saucedo! 👑🌟 We officially welcomed these lovely young ladies to their thrones and look forward to an exciting year ahead with them leading the way!
Also, thankful for Layne Kennedy for being our official greeter and we had more perfect attendance pins.

❤️ We heard an important message from Andrea’s Project!

Our Plainview Lions Club was honored to learn more about Andrea’s Project, a Texas Panhandle nonprofit created in memory of Andrea Elizalde, who tragically lost her life at just 17 years old because of an impaired driver.

Andrea’s Project is working to turn tragedy into change by preventing impaired driving and reducing alcohol- and substance-related harm through education, youth engagement, advocacy, and community prevention.

We appreciate Dr. Shanna James, PharmD, CTTS, Executive Director, for sharing this important mission with us and reminding us that one decision can impact an individual, a family, and an entire community.

Their work includes school-based prevention programs, youth leadership opportunities, impaired-driving awareness campaigns, community outreach, and partnerships throughout the Texas Panhandle.

As Lions, we believe in serving our community and helping make it a safer place for everyone. Together, we can make a difference and help prevent tragedy before it happens. 🦁❤️

It’s That Easy Not 2 Drive Impaired.

🦁❤️

Congratulations to my fellow Lion ladies who have been named Women of Distinction! 👏🎉 What a beautiful and well-deserved honor for three women who lead with love, serve with purpose, and make a difference wherever they go. So proud to call you my Lion sisters!

We were honored to hear from John Bertsch, Fred Haakensen, and James Belk as they shared their experiences with the Texas South Plains Honor Flight. What an incredible honor it was to hear their stories and learn more about their service and sacrifice. We are so thankful for each of you and for all those who have served our country. ❤️🇺🇸

👑 We also have 11 wonderful contestants competing for our Queen and Princess titles! Two young ladies will be chosen this Thursday at the Trinity Building.

Good luck to all of our contestants! We are so proud of each of you and can’t wait to see who will be crowned! 👑✨
