Here’s another round of name these faces! I recognize some of them, but would love to have the rest of the names to write on the back.

We found a box of photos and a small photo album. If anyone is interested in looking at them, we can post more periodically, and you are welcome to come to the Community Center to look at them too!

Hey Community!

I’m thinking that a Halloween party would be a lot of fun this year! What I need to know from you all is this: would you be more likely to attend a party on Halloween afternoon and evening, or the weekend before on the 24th?

I’m thinking costume party, games, food, and community!

If we hold it on Halloween, we could be a place for families to stop at before, after, and during trick or treating, but there would be something fun for every age too!

Let me know what date would be best!

Join us Wednesday mornings at 10:00am for Watercolor Wednesdays! This isn’t a class, but a group of folks who enjoy painting with watercolor while socializing.

Any skill level is welcome, even if you don’t quite know what you’re doing! This is a helpful group who would be glad to show you the basics!

We will have dinner and pie available starting at 5:00pm, followed by Craig Morton and Steve Flies performing from 6:30-8:30pm.

Meals help cover operating costs for future events and are priced as suggested donations.

The music is free to attend—free will donations greatly appreciated!

I know it's not even fall yet, but Olde Fashioned Christmas will be here before we know it! In light of that, we are looking for gently used Christmas and holiday items for our white sale.

You can drop off your items Monday-Thursday mornings, or contact us to set up a time that works for you! All proceeds from our white sale go towards programs, activities, and operating costs of the Plainview Area Community & Youth Center.

Could anybody use these Readers Digest books from the 80s and 90s? They’ve been at the Community Center for a while and they’re just not getting much use. There are 17 of them.

New Activity! Please join us for Board Game Nights on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays beginning in September! All are welcome! Bring family & friends, and make new ones! Bring a favorite game to share, or play one of the games we have here.

The fun starts at 6:00pm. Free to attend, but donations are greatly appreciated! Snacks and beverages will be available at suggested donation prices or free will offerings.

Game nights in September will be the 8th and the 22nd. We hope to see you there!
