ARREST MADE IN SCHOOL BURGLARY CASES

Thanks to officers, community tips, and help from Crimestoppers, a suspect has been arrested in connection with recent burglaries at multiple Plainview schools.

Daniel Zavala Jr. was taken into custody after evidence linked him to break-ins at Plainview Junior High, JJAEP, and Plainview Collegiate High School. Investigations are ongoing.

The Plainview Police Department would like to thank the community for stepping up and helping keep our schools safe.

๐Ÿšจ Theft Investigation โ€“ Plainview Police Department ๐Ÿšจ

This individual is wanted for questioning in reference to a theft that occurred at Shoe Sensation, located at 3411 Olton Road, on Monday, October 27, 2025.

Unfortunately, this offense does not meet the criteria for a Crimestoppers reward, and no reward is being offered at this time.

We are asking this female to turn herself in regarding this incident.

Anyone with information about her identity or whereabouts is encouraged to contact Captain Manuel Balderas at the Plainview Police Department at (806) 296-1187.

An unknown male suspect entered the school and took several items from inside.
Minutes later, the suspect was captured on surveillance video in the 1900 block of West 19th Street.

Residents in that area are encouraged to review their home or business surveillance footage for any suspicious activity or possible sightings of the suspect.

The Plainview/Hale County Crimestoppers Committee will pay a reward of up to $250.00 for information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for the following crime:

Sometime between September 20, 2025, and September 21, 2025, a white 2003 Ford F-250, bearing Texas license plate NZY-9879, was stolen while left unattended in the 1200 block of West 5th Street in Plainview, Texas.

The Plainview/Hale County Crimestoppers Committee is offering a reward of up to $500.00 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for a series of car burglaries.

๐Ÿ“ Location: Westgate Addition

Multiple fi****ms were stolen during these burglaries. This poses a serious threat to our community.

๐Ÿ‘‰ We urgently ask all Westgate residents to immediately review your surveillance cameras for footage of two suspects and/or a possible suspect vehicle.

The Plainview/Hale County Crimestoppers Committee will pay a reward of up to $250.00 to anyone with information that will lead to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for the following crime:

On May 13, 2025, a 2011 Honda Civic was reported stolen from a parking lot located at 610 Oakland St.
If you have recently purchased a vehicle matching this description, or if you have any information regarding its whereabouts, please contact Captain Balderas at 806-296-1187.
A suspect is currently in custody but is exercising their right to remain silent. We believe that someone in the community may have knowledge about the location of this vehicle, and we are urging anyone with information to come forward.
