Our Aradhana day observance was off to a blissful start with a very enriching Brunch preparation Service experience at the Ronald McDonald house in New Hyde Park (NY) on Saturday. May the Lord bless all the selfless volunteers who made a difference in the lives of the families of children undergoing treatment at the attached hospital.

Our Sai Center will be screening the soon to be released movie "Anantha" (Telugu version) tomorrow (Sun, Jan 4, 2026) at 10:30 AM. This movie was launched for Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Centennial Birthday and will be released on Jio HotStar this month. This is based on His Teachings and the inspiring experiences of Sai devotees. The screening is free and all are welcome!

The Flushing Sai Center celebrated Ladies Day on Nov 16th. The proceedings began with a Poorna Kumbham procession followed by Bhajans, Sai Ashthotram and a Bhajan medley by women of the center. This was followed by a scintillating musical offering by Smt. Nirmala Rajesh, Ms. Lakshmi and Ms. Parvathi Krishnan. An accomplished musician who trained under Gurus from the Parampara of Semmangudi Sri. Srinivasa Iyer, Smt. Nirmala Rajesh was also featured on Sun TV's Sapta Swarangal. The program concluded with Mangala Arathi and Lunch Prasadam.

Centennial Birthday celebration #3:
Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Centennial Birthday was commemorated at the iconic Times Square in Manhattan. Devotees gathered at 4:30 AM on November 23rd with Bhajans commencing at 5 AM followed by Arathi and Cake cutting. A giant digital billboard in Times Square displayed Sri Sathya Sai Baba's universal message over a 48 hour period leading up to His Centennial Birthday.

Every Saturday, week after week since the past few decades, volunteers from the Flushing Sai Center cook, transport and serve food in spite of the biting cold weather conditions to at-need members of our community.
Last Saturday, volunteers also distributed Christmas gifts to members of the community during the weekly food service at Tompkins Square Park in Manhattan. 200 Christmas gift bags were lovingly packed by volunteers last Friday, the day before the service. Each gift bag contained Swami's quote card, bath soap, comb, winter hat, gloves, socks, thermal blanket, and winter scarf (all packed inside a string bag).
We thank Sri Sathya Sai Baba for this opportunity to spread His warmth to those in need this holiday season.

To commemorate Sri Sathya Sai Baba's centennial birthday, volunteers distributed hygiene kits, along with the weekly food distribution to approximately 200 people at Tompkins Park in Manhattan. This service took place on Nov 22nd. The hygiene kits were lovingly packed by members of the center, along with the SSSE students, during the Global Akhand Bhajans on November 9th.

Centennial Birthday celebration #2:
Despite many members traveling to Puttaparthi at this time, the Centennial Birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba was celebrated at the Flushing Sai Center, in a manner befitting the historical nature of this event, with three Birthday events in the month of November. In this post, we highlight the second celebration at our center. The highlight of the Nov 23rd event was an inspiring talk by Prof. E. Mukundan (South Zone President, SSSSO, and former Kerala State President, SSSSO, India) who spoke from Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi. Other activities for the day included Bhajans, Bhajan medley and Cake cutting. The program concluded with Mangala Arathi and lunch Prasadam.
In subsequent posts, we will share details on the other Birthday celebrations held at our center in the month of November.

Sai devotees gathered at 5 AM for a special Satsang under the giant digital billboard in Times Square that was continuously displaying the universal message of Sri Sathya Sai Baba over a 48-hour period.

Centennial Birthday celebration #1:
The Centennial Birthday of Sri Sathya Sai Baba was celebrated at the Flushing Sai Center, in a manner befitting the historical nature of this event, with three Birthday events in the month of November. The main event was advanced to Nov 2nd as a large number of center members were traveling to Puttaparthi for the centennial celebrations there. The highlight of the Nov 2nd day long event was an inspiring talk and musical led by Sri. Dhurjati Mudigonda, a Veena artist and alumnus from SSSIHL, Prasanthi Nilayam. A spectacular multimedia SSSE play, highlighting different phases of Sri Sathya Sai Baba's life over a 100 year period, and a Young Adult musical added to the grandeur of this day. Other activities for the day included Suprabhatham, Ashthotram, Bhajans, Cake cutting, Arathi and Maha Prasadam.
