Greater Long Island Running Club Our Office/Clubhouse provides full service to the Long Island running community.

Our March/April Jonas Chiropractic Sports Injury Care Run for ASPIRE 10K, David Lerner Police Appreciation Run, Greenbelt 50K Trail Run, Runner's Edge Long Island Women's Run, Lynn Gartner Dunne, LLP Rob's Run (cross country), Lazer, Aptheker, Rosella & Yedid Kings Park 15 Kilometer Challenge, Long Island Workplace Challenge, Ocean to Sound Relay, Runner's Edge TOBAY Triathlon, Steel Equities Gold Coast Studios Ho Ho Ho Holiday Run, Oyster Festival 5k, fun runs, trail runs, "road trips", etc., etc., all make for a full calendar of activities for local runners.

DAVID LERNER LONG ISLAND POLICE APPRECIATION 5K ON JUNE 11TH TO PARTNER WITH NCPD POLICE MEMORIAL 5K ON AUGUST 12!

We are pleased to announce a new joint enterprise between the David Lerner Associates Long Island Police Appreciation Run on June 11th and the Police Memorial 5K Run hosted by the Nassau Police Running Club on August 12th.

The male and female overall finishers and the male and female masters finishers with the fastest combined times in the June 11th and August 12th events will each receive a special award. Both of these important races will be held in Eisenhower Park.

Our thanks to NCPD President Mark Spottiswood for making this happen.

This is, of course, in addition, to the “Finest-Bravest” combined best finisher awards achieved in the June 11th David Lerner Police 5K and the June 14th Deputy Chief Ray Downey 5K in Deer Park.

For more than 30 years, the Kings Park 15K has been part of our club’s story.

This year, we were unable to secure the necessary permit to host the race on its traditional course in Kings Park. While we offered course adjustments, rolling road reopenings, and maintained our longstanding 2 hour and 15 minute cutoff, approval was not granted.

Rather than cancel a 30+ year tradition, we made the decision to relocate the race to Veterans Memorial Park in Calverton/Wading River so the event — and your training — could continue.

We know course changes are never ideal. But what hasn’t changed is the spirit of this race: community, competition, and showing up for one another.

Thank you for your flexibility and for continuing to support GLIRC. We’ll see you on the starting line.
