A big shout-out to our amazing community for generously donating their time and effort to make the Holiday Toy and Book drive so special!

• To the Girl Scout troop for their thoughtful donation of 24 handmade fleece and crochet blankets
• To everyone who dropped off 22 boxes of toys for children of all ages
• To our neighboring town for the generous donation of 88 children’s fiction books
• To the Crochet Club ladies for the beautiful handmade items, including 4 crochet blankets and 7 beanies

In total, approximately 150 items were donated to Trenton Elementary School. Together, you turned generosity into warmth and comfort for those in need. Thank you for helping make this season brighter for others!

We organize donation drives throughout the year to support the Plainsboro Food Pantry, Trenton Soup Kitchen, and Trenton Elementary School. If you wish to donate or get involved, please feel free to reach out at 732-823-7071. It’s a wonderful opportunity to give back to the community!

Spreading sweetness, warmth, and joy to families this holiday season

As part of our Holiday Giving Season, Create a Ripple is inviting kids, teens, and families to help us create Toy, Book , Dessert & Warmth Bags for families in need.
This is a wonderful hands-on service opportunity where youth can contribute in meaningful, creative, and joyful ways.

We’re collecting toys, books, baked goods, and handmade cards to create Holiday Bags for families in need.

How You Can Help

🎁 Donate new, unwrapped toys

We are collecting new, unwrapped toys for children of all ages.
Every toy becomes a spark of joy for a child this holiday season.

📚 Donate new books

Books make beautiful, lasting gifts.
We are collecting new children’s books (all ages welcome) to inspire imagination, comfort, and joy.

🎀 Wrap books for holiday gifts

Kids, teens, and families are invited to help wrap donated books in festive gift wrap, making them extra special for the families who receive them.

🧶 Crochet for a Cause: Donate handmade beanies, blankets & scarves

Calling all crocheters and knitters—kids, teens, and adults!
Handmade items bring comfort, warmth, and love. We are collecting:
• Beanies
• Scarves
• Baby blankets
• Small throw blankets

These cozy handmade gifts will be included in our Holiday Bags for families who could use warmth this season.

🍪 Bake cookies, muffins, brownies, or holiday treats

We are putting together Holiday Dessert Bags, and we need:

Hello everyone! I'm Arnav Katiyar, a senior at West Windsor Plainsboro High School North and I’ve played soccer my whole life and have been a part of my schools varsity wrestling team for four years. Sports have played a huge role in my life, teaching me discipline, teamwork, building my character, and valuable lessons I can carry over to in other aspects of life. To help young kids with a gateway into sports, along with my club Create a Ripple, I am reintroducing an All Sports Camps for kids ages 5-12, which offers a variety of activities to help them discover a passion they can pursue. Through this camp, I hope to inspire kids to stay active, build confidence, and most importantly, have fun while learning the fundamentals of different sports!

Art and Essay Contest

Join us for an exciting opportunity to express creativity, celebrate diversity, and embrace the joy of community through art and writing!

“The Power of Celebration: Building Bonds, Bridging Cultures and Honoring Traditions �Celebrating Community with the Colors of Holi”

Objective:

To encourage participants

* to explore the importance of community celebrations in building connections and creating positive impacts.

* To reflect on the transformative power of coming together to celebrate shared values and connections.

* An opportunity to contribute to the spirit of celebrations by showcasing creativity and cultural reflections.

Contest Categories:

* Art Contest: Create a visual masterpiece inspired by the colors and spirit of Holi, celebrating the themes of community, culture, and togetherness.
* Medium: Any (painting, drawing, digital art, mixed media, etc.)
* Size: Maximum of 18 x 24 inches
* Judging Criteria: Creativity, relevance to theme, technique, and originality

* Essay Contest: Write an essay reflecting on how community celebrations, like Holi, bring people together, bridge cultures, and honor traditions.
* Word Limit:
* Ages 8-12: 250-400 words
* Ages 13-17: 400-600 words
* Ages 18+: 600-800 words
* Judging Criteria: Clarity, originality, relevance to theme, and emotional impact

Eligibility:

* Open to all age groups (suggested divisions: Children, Teens, Adults).
* Participants can submit either an art piece, an essay, or both.
