Hay Burr Inn Equine Rescue & Sanctuary Hay Burr Inn’s volunteers rescues equines from neglect, abuse, starvation, and slaughter risk.

We restore their health, provide sanctuary when needed, find loving homes when possible, and educate the community about equine welfare. Mission Statement: Hay Burr Inn’s all-volunteer staff is dedicated to saving the lives of horses that are victims of starvation, neglect, abuse, bound for slaughter, or whose owners are unable to provide for their needs. It is our goal to rehabilitate and restore

the physical and emotional health of the horses and when possible to find them a loving foster home, or continue to give them the special, intensive care they need to live out their days in peace.

So blessed at the Brooklyn Fair. We appreciate all the support from our dedicated volunteers who put together an amazing booth to promote our mission, all-volunteer staff dedicated to saving the lives of horses that are victims of starvation, neglect, abuse, bound for slaughter, or whose owners are unable to provide for their needs. It is our goal to rehabilitate and restore the physical and emotional health of the horses and when possible to find them a loving foster home, or continue to give them the special, intensive care they need to live out their days in peace, as well as educate the community.

We are thrilled to win 1st place at the fair for our booth! Thank you to the organizers for all their amazing support and putting on such a fantastic event! It was an epic day yesterday with an incredibly talented headliner Cooper Alan.

Today is the last day. If you haven’t been yet, make sure to stop by today! Don’t miss out to say hey to your local businesses exhibiting at the fair. See the amazing animals! And enjoy some 😋 food!

At our booth, get the latest editions for clothing, 2027 wall calendar, and other horse / donkey related items. All are donations for supporting the equines’ continuous care. And of course, chat with our volunteers. Some of us may be a bit beat from the long weekend, we still appreciate getting a chance to meet you and talk with you. So don’t be shy and swing by the better living building. We are right outside 👋
