As our Nation celebrates 250 years of Independence, we pause to remember the generations of patriots whose courage, sacrifice, and love of country have safeguarded the liberties we cherish.

Among them are the generations of women who have defended our Nation for 251 years, answering the call to serve even before there was a United States. They stood on battlefields and aboard ships, flew into combat, cared for the wounded, gathered intelligence, led troops, broke barriers, and continued to serve wherever freedom called.

Their stories are America's story.

Yet too many of these stories remain untold or overlooked.

This Independence Day, as we celebrate our Nation's past and look toward its future, help ensure that the women who have defended America for 251 years are forever a visible part of America's story.

Support the Military Women's Memorial as we preserve their history, honor their service, and inspire future generations through the stories of the women who helped secure the freedoms we celebrate today.

Because America's story cannot be fully told without her story.
