9/11/2001 was 22 years ago. A tragedy the likes of which no one had ever seen before or could have even imagined. Senseless lives lost and the very fabric of our lives changed forever.

Out of the bad came some good. Do you remember the days, months, maybe even years after 9/11? The patriotism, general courtesy, and kindness, that everyone exhibited for each other after that tragic day?

Democrat-Republican, black-white, rich-poor,.. none of that seemed to matter as much immediately after 9/11. We were united. We had common goals and concerns.

What happened to all of that? Well, for at least one day, Sept. 11th, bring that feeling back. Be a little more patriotic today. Be a little more kind, thoughtful, and considerate today. Honor those that lost their lives that day by being a better person today.

Hold a door for someone, let someone have that great parking spot, help someone less fortunate, compliment someone, or just say “Hello” with a smile. We could all use one day like that.
