Mae's Mission for Recovery

Mae's Mission for Recovery Formed in memory of Emily Mae Meyers. We support people on their addiction recovery journey. We also provide entry bags to each incoming patient.

We currently do this by providing holiday care packages to patients where Emily was treated. We were formed in memory of Emily Mae Meyers. Emily was in addiction recovery and she always supported other people in recovery even if she didn't feel well herself. Currently our support consists of preparing care packages for patients in addiction recovery where Emily was treated. These packages include

a blanket, coloring book, puzzle book, journal, pen, pencil, colored pencils, pencil sharpener, gum, candy, socks, stress balls and more. If you would like to support a complete package, each bag costs $35 to complete. Of course any donation is greatly appreciated! We have been doing these packages since December 2020 and they are always appreciated by the patients. We receive many heartfelt thank you notes from patients whose spirits have been lifted by receiving a package. Sometimes a small gesture can help a person stay on their recovery journey. We are working on expanding our care packages from just select holidays to giving each patient one as they enter treatment. We are also launching "treat the staff" days in which we will provide the staff with breakfast or some other type of food. We are starting with once a quarter and will expand as our budget allows. Addiction is a very misunderstood disease that is also very pervasive in the community. We hope to help remove the stigma of this disease and help patients feel hope during some of the hardest times of their lives.
