The Al McWilliams Memorial Scholarship Fund seeks to identify and support Plainfield High School graduates who exemplify dedication to leadership, public service, and community building. This monetary award will help alleviate the recipient of any financial burden incurred by the college or university he or she attends. As Mayor of Plainfield from 1997 to 2005, Al McWilliams, Jr. displayed his com

mitment to leadership by strengthening his community and serving its residents. His dedication to service was exemplary, and throughout his life, he constantly reminded his family that it is never too early to start giving back. While Al McWilliams championed many social causes during his time as Mayor, but placed special importance on the value of education. He earnestly believed in the potential of Plainfield’s rising youth, and now, the McWilliams family seeks to embody such faith in their charitable efforts. For 2013, the Al McWilliams Memorial Scholarship Fund is hoping to raise $5000 in order to provide one Plainfield High School senior with additional money for tuition, course materials, etc. The McWilliams family would greatly appreciate your contribution Donations will be accepted starting January 1, 2013!
