A start-up animal welfare organization focused on supporting, creating and executing life-sayving solutions for homeless pets in the U.S., Aruba and Puerto Rico. Currently accepting foster apps from Chicagoland (and extended burbs) as well as Fort Wayne, IN. We are currently based in Plainfield, IL, but have operations in Chicagoland and the suburbs, and we are working o

n expanding in Fort Wayne, IN. We accept foster applications from the areas mentioned, but in unique circumstances will also accept foster and adoption applicants in other areas of IL and IN. We are foster-based, meaning we do not have a brick-and-mortar facility. Getting a facility is DEFINITELY on our list of to dos (hopefully not too far in the future). We also hope to expand into farm animals and open a farm sanctuary. We consider ourselves no-nonsense, hardworking individuals coming together to support animals (and their humans) in the most efficient and effective ways. As a start-up we realize we have a lot of groundwork to lay, but we can't do it without your support.

🌸Ohhh sweet Savoy! 🌸

Born around March 26, 2026, this beautiful dilute calico is a thoughtful, gentle kitten who likes to take her time getting to know new people and places. While she’s the most reserved of her siblings, every day she’s learning that people can be pretty wonderful.

Once she’s comfortable, Savoy’s playful side comes out—especially for wand toys and Churu treats! She also loves other cats and has become especially attached to the adult foster cat in her home. Because of this, she must be adopted into a home with another young kitten or a friendly, playful cat.

With a little patience and a feline friend by her side, Savoy will blossom into a loving companion full of quiet charm. 💕

This litter’s estimated birthday is 3.4.26.

Pringle is beyond handsome and we cannot waitttt to see what he looks like when he’s fully grown 😍. He will be medium-large when he’s an adult.

🍼 HELP KEEP THESE KITTENS FED! 🐾

When our dedicated foster received a call from her HVAC technician, she never expected it would lead to saving an entire feline family. A mama cat had brought her babies to his front door, and he knew exactly who to call for help.

The family came into SAYv care on May 13th when the kittens were estimated to be around 4 weeks old. They're now growing fast and are approximately 6–7 weeks old, which means they're eating more every day! 🐈🐈‍⬛

This foster has stepped up for SAYv time and time again, opening her home to countless cats and kittens in need. Right now, she's caring for this mama and her growing babies, and we'd love to help make sure they have plenty of food as they continue to thrive.

If you've ever shopped for kitten food, you know how quickly the costs add up. Growing kittens require high-quality nutrition, and a litter this size can go through food at an incredible pace! 🤩

Princess is a gorgeous two-year-old girl who recently joined the , and she is truly magical. She’s incredibly sweet, dog friendly, and even CAT FRIENDLY. 🥹

Thankfully, Princess was already spayed prior to intake, but she still needs updated vaccines and routine medical care to keep her healthy and ready for her future forever family.

Based on where her foster is located, here is what we will pay at our local vet partner:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!!!!

At SAYv, we have a queen, a fearless leader, and someone who should probably be on maternity leave but is still over here with our sayving lives and pushing fundraisers. Today we’re celebrating our Founder & Executive Director, Jackie Groberski’s birthday.

Jackie is full of life, ambition, passion, and kindness where it counts. She dreams big and never lets the hard stuff slow her down. She oversees our rescue and handles 90% of our fundraising efforts. She files paperwork, manages taxes, coordinates the behind-the-scenes logistics that many of us would be completely lost without, and somehow still finds time to save an animal’s life at midnight or help one humanely cross in another state when they’re suffering. She is always the person willing to try, willing to help, and willing to fight for the animals who need it most. Without Jackie, SAYv wouldn’t exist and it certainly wouldn’t be what it is today. She is a huge part of the heart that fuels this organization.

Jackie is also a mom to two wonderful little girls, including one who just made her grand appearance earlier this month, a handful of fur animals and not to mention a wife to her husband Eddie. On top of SAYv, she also works a full-time job with another international animal welfare organization that takes her all over the world to speak and advocate for animals. She somehow manages to do it all with incredible detail, dedication, and compassion.

Jackie, our rescue would not be what it is without you. Your compassion for animals through SAYv Animal Organization and your work at Humane World for Animals HQ is something this world desperately needs more of. Thank you for all your hard work, dedication, and endless commitment since the very beginning.

Meet Arthur and Aqua — a bonded pair of best friends looking for a home together 💙

Arthur (born around 4/1/2025) is a brown-and-white tabby with endless energy, huge personality, and a passion for stealing and hoarding toys like tiny hunting trophies. He’s affectionate, hilarious, obsessed with belly rubs, and convinced he’s in charge of the household.

Aqua (born around 11/1/2025) is his gentle grey-and-white best friend with stunning teal-blue eyes and a soft, sensitive heart. She can be shy at first, but once she feels safe, she’s incredibly sweet, playful, and loving. Her favorite things include toy mice, cozy naps, heating pads, and following Arthur everywhere.

These two balance each other perfectly. Arthur gives Aqua confidence, and Aqua gives Arthur someone to love and protect. Whether they’re wrestling in laundry baskets or curled up together after playtime, they’re almost always side by side.

Arthur and Aqua must be adopted together and are looking for a patient, loving home ready for double the fun and double the love.

These three kitties joined the after being found outside as strays. Their foster picked out some bug-inspired names, but we didn’t realize the irony of until their intake assessment was completed.

Upon intake, the kittens were suffering from fleas and fly strike. Fly strike occurs when flies lay eggs on an animal, usually near wounds or soiled fur. The eggs hatch into maggots, which can quickly cause painful skin infections, tissue damage, and serious medical complications if left untreated. Aside from the potential medical complications, it’s awfullll to see and makes us so sad for these precious babies 😢.

Two of the kittens also had infected wounds that required treatment and ongoing care.

**Note: the fly strike photo in this post shows an example of fly strike — the foster wasn’t able to get a clear photo for us to share before the infection was cleaned… because she cleaned it so quickly after intake! 💪.**

Donating $5 today helps these kitties and so many other animals just like them 😍.

This spring, we set out with a hopeful goal:�help more animals bloom into safe, loving homes 🌸.

We hope to raise $3,000 during this campaign which ends May 31, 2026, and we are currently at $1,240 — $1,760 to go! 🙏

D U B L I N 🐶

Dublin needs your help❣️ She needs an ADOPTER or a new FOSTER asap 🙏. She has some physical limitations which we know will make it hard to find placement, but we are really hoping that someone will give her chance 🥹.

Dublin’s story is sad, but she doesn’t let that slow her down one bit.

This sweet girl is the definition of a cuddle bug. She adores being close to her people, happily curling up as your personal lap dog after a day of fun. Whether you’re relaxing on the couch or enjoying a quiet moment, Dublin is right there soaking up the love (and giving plenty in return).

She’s fully potty trained, sleeps through the night like a champ, and settles nicely in her kennel when left alone. Around people, she shines—she does great with men, women, and kids, and greets her trusted humans with excitement ❤️.

📝 Dublin has tears in both of her CCLs (cranial cruciate ligaments), which are important ligaments in the knee that help keep it stable—similar to an ACL in humans. Because of this, she will need surgery on both knees when she’s 10 months old. The good news? SAYv will be covering the full cost of these procedures.

‼️ Dublin needs to have limited activity until surgery ‼️

It’s very uncommon for a puppy her age to have bilateral CCL tears, and while we can’t say for certain what caused it, Dublin did come to us after experiencing malnutrition and a lack of proper care, which may have impacted her development 😢.
