Join us on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Plainfield High School Gymnasium for free health screenings, valuable wellness resources, and live demonstrations designed to keep you informed and empowered.

Services will include blood pressure checks, vision screenings, mental wellness resources, cholesterol checks, CPR demonstrations, disability services information, and more—all at no cost to attendees.

Come out, get screened, gather resources, and take an important step toward a healthier you.

Today is our 3rd birthday! 🎂🎉 We had such an incredible and impactful year and it wouldn’t have been possible without our amazing volunteers, donors, and community!

This past year we partnered with five youth organizations in Kentucky, New Jersey, Michigan, Louisiana, and Nevada for a National Service Project. In total they assembled and distributed 250 hygiene kits to nonprofits in their communities that support domestic violence survivors, unhoused youth, women, families, veterans, and college students. Special thank you to all of our participating youth groups!!!

This project was made possible through the Vital Voices: Grassroots Voices grant by Sarah Johnson and Sarva Rajendra!

Did you know that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month?

According to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, “An average of 24 people per minute are victims of r**e, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner in the United States—more than 12 million women and men over the course of a single year.”

Survivors are not just numbers or statistics. We are real people, incredibly resilient, whose lives have been forever changed. May we remember and honor the survivors who were killed by their abusers.

Each of us has a role to play in preventing domestic violence, whether through dismantling r**e culture, promoting healthy relationships, creating safe spaces and so much more. I’m honored to join DV advocate Ella Dennis and author Cheyenne Wilson for an in-depth conversation about breaking the silence. Join us on Monday, October 28th, for an Instagram Live discussion and Q&A, where we’ll explore actionable steps we can all take to end the violence.

“Break the silence, break the Stigma!” NJIT has partnered with an incredible organizations for the “Get it Flowing” event, which will take place on Thursday, September 26 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. Together, we can empower those in need and spread awareness about period poverty.
