Groomer’s Report 04/01/22:

Happy April Fools' Day morning everyone!

Today at the Lake, the temp is 32 degrees with a high overcast. No new precip to report.

Last night, the following routes were groomed in the Lk Wenatchee area; 2, 2A, 2B to Chikimin, 6, 6A, 6B, 6C, 6D, 7, 8. Alot of the trails still have really good snow cover, and Steve at Trinity reports that he still has four feet of snow there. Trail that do not have adequate snow cover; 1A, 4D, and spots on the 7 routes. The Meadow Creek area and back side of Snowcone are still in really good shape. This weekend is good option for some spring riding... and maybe new snow by Monday....!!

This concludes the grooming program for the season, thank you all for letting me flood your inbox daily over the winter. I will check in from time to time, to let you know about upcoming events, etc.

Thank you all for your great comments and support of our grooming program.

Thanks, Marilyn

Groomer’s Report 03/18/22:

Good Friday morning everyone!

Today at the Lake, the temp is 30 degrees and foggy currently at the lake.

There is no new grooming to report in the Lk Wenatchee area. So, we can groom until the end of March and as our funding allows. The guys are planning several more trips before the end of the month, especially on the trails where the snowpack is holding well.

The grooming program is funded strictly through Snowmobile registrations and some fuel tax associated with Snowmobile use. As of the latest data I was privy to, registrations are down this year from last year by roughly 2000 sleds. This is the funding for next season. So if you or someone you know, have not registered their sleds yet, please consider doing so to maintain the grooming program for next season!

Also, a note from me; someone dropped off a stripped snowmobile trailer at the Fish Lake Snopark and apparently used my name to witnesses of "the dump". The trailer has no hitch, wheels and tires, etc. If any of you witnessed the trailer being left there, please let me know. I would love to know who knew to use my name to dump the junk! Now the County will have to haul it away.

Further note; stripped camp trailers have been left in several of our parking areas, and trails in the past few years. If any of you see the culprits, please take a second to snap a photo of the towing vehicle so that we can stop our woods from being a dumping ground of large junk!

Ok, that's my rant for the day! Thank you all for your great comments and support of our grooming program.

Thanks, Marilyn

Groomer’s Report 02/24/22:

Good morning everyone!

Today at the Lake, the temp is 21 degrees and overcast. It actually is TRYING to snow, but you have to look really hard to see the tiny little flakes... seems everyone is getting snow but us!

Last night and yesterday afternoon, the following routes were groomed in the Lk Wenatchee area; 1B, 2, 3, 3A, 3B, 3D, 3E, 4, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4E, 4F, 5, 5A, 5B

Groomer’s Report 02/17/22:

Good morning everyone!

Today at the Lake, the temp is 38 degrees... and windy. All bad things for maintaining snow cover. The lake (Lk Wenatchee) is ice free this a.m. due mainly to the persistent wind yesterday, breaking it up. Safer for the animals for sure but another sign of early spring.

Last night, the following routes were groomed in the Lk Wenatchee area; the groomer made the trip towards Trinity yesterday afternoon; 2, 2A, 2B, and made it to the "Knife Edge", which is approx 3 miles south of Trinity. That is a side ridge that gets very narrow, vertically steep and does have slide issues. Snowmobiles are safe to continue at that point but the groomer had to back out from that location and not continue to Trinity.

No new grooming in the Entiat ridge area.

Thank you all for your great comments and support of our grooming program.

Thanks, Marilyn

Groomer’s Report 02/13/22:

Its SUPER BOWL SUNDAY morning everyone! Yay!! Go Rams!

Today at the Lake, the temp is 21 degrees and really socked in. We did get sun yesterday and hopefully some more of that today... followed by snow on Monday? Fingers crossed!

Last night, the following routes were groomed in the Lk Wenatchee area; 1A, 1B, 3, 4, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, 5, 5A, and additional routes that were groomed yesterday were; 5B, 7A, 7B, 7C, 8A, 8C

No new grooming to report in the Entiat area.

Yesterday, at our monthly grooming council meeting, we discussed several trails and snopark issues to note. The drive to Fish Lake Snopark is very icy, the last mile or so. Use extreme caution and slow speeds in that area. Alternate parking locations might be better; Airstrip Snopark, and for Rec Club members- parking and ride from the Club parking area. Most of the Lk Wenatchee trails system is still in good shape, with snow cover but there are a few areas where dirt might be showing through. The Van Creek access to Fr. Corral and the Entiat ridge has decent snow cover but there are many areas of icy conditions on those trails and some dirt showing through.

Thank you all for your great comments and support of our grooming program.

Thanks, Marilyn

Groomer’s Report 02/12/22:

Good Saturday morning everyone!

Today at the Lake, the temp is 21 degrees and socked in this a.m. No new snow..... really hoping for snow on Monday.

Last night, the following routes were groomed in the Lk Wenatchee area; 2, 3, 4, 4A, 4B, 4C, 4D, 4E, 4F, 5, 6, 6A, 6B, 6C, 7, 8

And in the Entiat area; Van Creek.

The groomer headed up Van Creek but found too little snow on the trails to groom further. There is an icy layer on trails and dirt showing in lots of places. Not sure why the situation is and has been so wierd up there but he did say that more snow is needed badly for grooming to continue through the season on the Entiat ridge. Luckily still a good measure of snow in the Lk Wenatchee area. But more would be nice!

Thank you all for your great comments and support of our grooming program.

Thanks, Marilyn
