Thank you to everyone who came to share a historic moment for our fire department. Just as firefighters have always done since horse drawn wagons, today Ladder 210 was pushed into the bay and marked in service.

Thank you to the public, friends, and family who attended this event on a historical day of remembrance.

A special thanks to FF Jason Wilson for steering the ladder, as FF Wilson is one our most tenured Firefighters at Jerome. And to our first Officer In Charge placing the Ladder into service Nikki Adams. Nikki is the Wife of BC Adams.

🇺🇸 WE WILL NEVER FORGET 🇺🇸

Today, Jerome Professional Firefighters Local 3555 pauses to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

We honor the 343 FDNY firefighters who answered the call that morning and made the ultimate sacrifice. They climbed the stairs while others were coming down—not knowing what awaited them, but knowing people needed their help.

Twenty-five years later, their courage, sacrifice, and commitment to others remain deeply rooted in the traditions of the fire service.

We also remember every victim who lost their life that day, the families who were forever changed, and the first responders who continued to suffer and lose their lives in the years that followed because of their service at Ground Zero.

For those of us who wear the uniform today, September 11 is more than a date in history. It is a reminder of the responsibility we carry, the brotherhood and sisterhood we share, and the promise that those who came before us will never be forgotten.

343 firefighters. Countless heroes. One nation forever changed.

Jerome Professional Firefighters Local 3555 will always remember.

🇺🇸 Never Forget. 9•11•01 🇺🇸

🚒 YOU’RE INVITED — LADDER 210 PUSH-IN CEREMONY 🇺🇸

Jerome Professional Firefighters Local 3555 invites our community to join us on September 11, 2026, as we officially welcome Ladder 210 into service with a traditional fire service Push-In Ceremony.

The push-in ceremony is one of the fire service’s oldest traditions, dating back to the days of horse-drawn apparatus when firefighters would physically push their equipment back into the station after a call. Today, that tradition continues as a way to officially welcome a new apparatus into its home and recognize the firefighters and community it will serve.

This year’s ceremony carries special significance as it takes place on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

As we celebrate a new chapter for our department, we will also take time to remember and honor the 343 FDNY firefighters and all those who lost their lives on September 11, as well as those who have since died from 9/11-related illnesses.

It is fitting that on a day centered around remembrance, service, sacrifice, and tradition, we come together as a community to carry forward a tradition that has connected generations of firefighters.

📅 Friday, September 11, 2026
⏰ 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM
🚒 Push-In Ceremony begins at 12:30 PM
📍 Jerome Township Division of Fire – Station 210
9689 US Route 42 | Plain City, OH 43064

We hope you’ll join us as we honor the past, remember the fallen, and push Ladder 210 forward into its next chapter of service to our community.

Never Forget
