Our Club also has a program which supplies needy children with jackets and shoes. We give many scholarships to local high school students. And we love our Veterans. There is a fun side to the Round Table, too. The Club offers a variety of Sections that provide activities for the club members from Bunco to a gourmet group. Gadabouts enjoy touring sites and attending plays. The Craft and Stitches group meets monthly often working on projects to donate to worthy causes. Bookworms love reviewing current books and the Mah Jong ladies have a great time placing those tiles. Thank you, Placentia! đź’śđź’›

Placentia Round Table Women’s Club had a wonderful time at the 61st Annual Placentia Heritage Festival and Parade on Saturday, October 10. We marched down the parade route behind our banner, proudly Serving Placentia Since 1902, and then shared who we are and what we do in the community at our booth.

It was a joy to meet so many neighbors, and we loved seeing the community come together to celebrate Placentia’s 100 year heritage. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello and learn more about our Club!

HOBY Youth Leadership: Investing in Our Future Leaders

This past June, the Placentia Round Table was delighted to sponsor four local high school sophomores to attend the HOBY (Hugh O’Brian Youth) Leadership Seminar in San Diego.

Representing El Dorado High School: Lena Lee and Han Kim

Representing Valencia High School:
Zoe Ahn and Makena Fenstermaker

These student leaders recently shared their HOBY experiences with us at the PRT General Meeting. HOBY is an organization dedicated to “inspiring and developing our global community of youth and volunteers to a life dedicated to leadership, service, and innovation,” and our students embodied that mission.

PRT members are proud to support this program for our youth. Thank you to Kathy Trosko, Chair, for leading this effort!

🇺🇸 Volunteers Built America 🇺🇸

As our nation celebrates 250 years, I can’t help but think about all the women of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs.

For generations, clubwomen have seen a need and stepped forward. They built libraries, supported schools, cared for veterans, protected children, strengthened families, and lifted communities long before “community service” had a name.

America was not built by government alone.
It was built by neighbors.
By helpers.
By women who organized, served, raised funds, wrote letters, opened doors, and refused to give up.

GFWC Connecticut volunteers have helped shape the heart of America—one project, one club, one community at a time.

As we celebrate 250 years, may we remember this truth:

Volunteers don’t just serve America.
Volunteers build America.

❤️🤍💙

A heartfelt THANK YOU to the Placentia Round Table Women’s Club for their incredibly generous donation to American Legion Post 277!

Your kindness and commitment to our community means everything. Your gift is going directly toward the remodel of our Post — helping us continue to serve the veterans and families who count on us every day.

The American Legion was founded on the belief that those who served our nation deserve a community that stands behind them — and thanks to partners like you, that belief lives on right here in Placentia. We are truly blessed to have you standing beside us. Together, we are making Placentia stronger!

Honoring the past. Serving the present. Building the future.
