On Saturday February 21st, members of Powellville Volunteer Fire Company trained on various types of rescue. We started with a simulated arm entanglement in a roto tiller and then moved into vehicle rescue scenarios. Our members dismantled one complete vehicle using only hand tools. We are extremely grateful for the dedication of our members.

Today, January 11, 2026, officers and members of Powellville Volunteer Fire Company went through neighboring areas of our community for an After the Fire initiative to ensure community members had working smoke detectors throughout their homes. We want to Thank those in our community for allowing our members into your homes today to assist with the After Fire Initiative today. We were able to do 3 battery exchanges, provide 14 working smoke detectors, and had 67 homes we were able to engage with today. While out and about, we also were able to identify 3 response hazards within the community. Thank you to all our members who took the time to come out and help us make this a success. Job well done to all!

Today at 12:24, PVFC was alerted to assist Worcester County on a structure fire on Circle Rd. Tanker 11 with Deputy 11/1, Engine 11 with 11-18/3, and Truck 11 with 11-21/3 to the scene. Both E11 & Truck 11 went interior for suppression and overhaul.
