THUNDER GOBBLES • LONGBEARDS • BROTHERHOOD 🇺🇸🦃
The 2026 United Special Sportsman Alliance Veterans Turkey Hunt in Livingston, Tennessee was nothing short of INCREDIBLE!
From May 15–17, veterans from the Army, Navy, and Marine Corps teamed up with some of the BEST turkey callers in the country — including current and former NWTF Grand National Calling Champions — for an unforgettable late-season turkey hunting experience hosted at Stonecipher Manor.
Supported by the Overton, Putnam, and Smith County NWTF chapters, this hunt brought together veterans, volunteers, and world-class callers for three days of thunderous gobbles, intense hunts, and lifelong memories.
Retired Army Chief Warrant Officer Potts connected on a hard-gobbling longbeard with guide Eddie Roberts after an action-packed morning surrounded by gobblers.
Army veteran Staff Sergeant McAlister hunted alongside former Grand National Champions Josh and Levi Pruitt of North Carolina. Josh “Struttin Carolina” Pruitt worked his magic on the calls and brought a fired-up longbeard into range for an unforgettable harvest!
Staff Sergeant West and caller Tristen Hargraves doubled up in Smith County on TWO Tennessee longbeards in a hunt they’ll never forget.
Marine veteran Stone finished the weekend with Hunter Staples and USSA Board Director Bill Cothron in one final heart-pounding hunt in Macon County. Gobblers thundered across the hills while hens walked directly to the blind, even dusting gravel onto the hunters just feet away! Although the longbeards stayed just out of range, Stone described it as one of the most exciting hunts of his life.
These events are about far more than harvesting birds. They’re about healing, fellowship, friendship, laughter, mentorship, and giving our veterans a chance to experience the outdoors with people who truly care.
THANK YOU to every guide, caller, volunteer, donor, landowner, and NWTF chapter that made this event possible.
THIS is what United Special Sportsman’s Alliance is all about. 🇺🇸
