R.H.S.O. (Remember Henry Scott Oldenburg) Raising money for local families fighting against cancer as well as supporting pancreatic cancer research and treatment.

RHSO was founded in 2008 in order to honor the memory and giving spirit of Scott Oldenburg. This cause is of great importance to us for, as you may know, Scott – a Readington Township police lieutenant – lost his battle to pancreatic cancer in 2007. It was always Scott's dream to be able to "pay it forward" when he got better. So, since then, we have been raising money for not only cancer research

but also primarily to assist local families similarly fighting against cancer. To them, a donation is much more than its dollar amount – it is unyielding, faithful support in an otherwise trying time.

This afternoon our volunteers had the honor of joining staff from both Hunterdon Health and the Readington Township Police Department at the Hunterdon Medical Center Regional Cancer Center to accept a donation from PBA 317 and Hunterdon PBA for their annual “No Shave November” fundraiser.

Due to the continued generous donations from both of these outstanding agencies, we were able to donate $30,000 to the Regional Cancer Center this year to help pay the insurance co-pays for cancer patients currently undergoing treatment!

We would like to thank all of the amazing law enforcement agencies who continue to be a part of Scott’s dream of “Paying It Forward”!

Thank you to the Flemington Borough Police Department for once again participating in “No Shave November”! Donations from departments such as FBPD allow us to continue to support local individuals and their families as they courageously battle cancer. Please consider supporting FBPD during their month long fundraiser!

It’s officially No-Shave November! This year our Officers will be growing out their beards to raise money for a local cause, the Remembering Henry Scott Oldenburg (R.H.S.O) Foundation. The Remembering Henry Scott Oldenburg (R.H.S.O) Foundation is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 in honor of Lt. Scott Oldenburg of the Readington Township Police Department. Lt. Oldenburg was a police officer, father, husband, brother, son, uncle, and friend to many. Although he lost his battle to pancreatic cancer at the age of 42, Lt. Oldenburg's giving spirit and desire to "pay it forward" has driven his foundation to fulfill a mission to not only support pancreatic cancer research but also assist local families fighting against cancer, just as so many helped Lt. Oldenburg when he needed it most.

You can follow Hunterdon PBA for information on how to donate!

Thank you to the Raritan Township Police Department for once again participating in “No Shave November”. Generous donations from organizations such as RTPD allow us to continue our mission of “Paying It Forward” and help fund our multiple annual campaigns, one of which is paying for insurance co-pays for cancer patients at the Hunterdon Medical Center multiple times per year. Thank you RTPD! We look forward to seeing the progress on your beards this month!

Members of the Raritan Township Police Department will be participating in No-Shave November to raise awareness and funding for cancer prevention, research and education. All proceeds will be donated to, Remember Henry Scott Oldenburg.

It is officially November, our favorite month of the year! Our biggest fundraising event of the year, “No Shave November”, started today and we could not be more excited to see what 2021 has in store! Over the next few weeks, we will be featuring the amazing Police Departments, Prosecutor’s Offices, Rescue Squads, and Fire Stations that are taking part in this amazing event. Some beards will be great, some not so much 😬. But all who participate will be helping to further Scott’s mission of “Paying It Forward” to others! We thank you all so much for your support!

*** A HUGE thank you goes out to the Readington Township Police Department for their continued support of our mission and for organizing this fundraiser every year! Without them, none of this would ever be possible!***
