Happy Memorial Day everyone. 🇺🇸
To celebrate I am giving away free, native outdoor and indoor plants. All of these need new homes🪴 🌱.

Come and enjoy my beautiful gardens on the Erie Canal in Pittsford Village at 65 State Street. I’ll be here TODAY from 1:30 to 5. Donations to A Frog House accepted, but not expected nor required.

How to find (Margot Fass) me: walk east from Schoen Place on the Canal path towards Fairport -third house on left. Our steps up from the canal are right before you get to that beautiful historic greenhouse on the left.

Today is World Wetlands Day! Want to find ways to help our wetlands?

In 2026, we will be helping families construct vernal ponds in their own backyards, contributing to a larger network of amphibian habitat. Visit our website to learn more about our Build Your Vernal Pond Project. (see link in comments below).

An hour and 45 minutes to go, and another donation just came in for Giving Tuesday, that brings us up to $955. I (Margot Fass) would like to especially thank Matthew Fass and Lindsay Fass Graham for helping me to tend to this.

Our donors today include James Remenicky, Lorraine Lewis, Heidi Bechtold, Sharon Levy, Steven Castronovo (followers should know his name by now!), Bonnie Garner, Donna Richardson, Gail Mott, Minda Tessler, Padme Livingstone, and Paula Thomas. These are my dear friends, except one person I don't know that well yet. I (Margot Fass) would love to see some support from more Pittsford residents, especially from those who enjoy and benefit from the Robert Corby Arboretum and Wildlife Sanctuary, where A Frog House has enabled the construction of 3 vernal ponds and a permaculture garden this year.

A real mensch! I've always loved Morgan Freeman

Freeman imported his hives in 2014 and feeds them without harvesting honey, letting the bees work undisturbed.

His fields of clover, lavender, and magnolia now serve as a rare, protected refuge for struggling pollinators.
