We had no idea back then that those precious moments—the gentle dollars handed over, the focused gaze, the unconditional warmth—would map out the rest of our lives.

Today is Gimmel Tammuz, the anniversary of the Rebbe’s passing. It’s a day when the Jewish world reflects on his massive global legacy. But the Rebbe never thought in terms of “global movements.” He thought in terms of individual souls.

He looked at a little girl and a little boy and didn’t see children; he saw potential leaders. He looked at a map and didn’t see geographic lines; he saw places waiting for more light.

Every single program we run—from Babyccino and JKids to our CTeen backyards and open-door community holiday parties—is fueled entirely by the Rebbe’s teaching that Judaism belongs to every single Jew, without labels, without judgment, and without prerequisites.

Today, let’s honor the Rebbe’s legacy together in the simplest way possible: reach one person beyond your comfort zone. That’s how the story continues.

The grill was sizzling, the food was great, but the real highlight of the Chabad of Pittsford CTeen year-end BBQ was the environment these teens created in the backyard.

High school comes with a lot of noise, a lot of expectations, and a lot of filters. But sitting in a circle in the Hein family yard last night, none of that mattered.

There was no performance and no pressure—just real conversations, deep laughs, and a Jewish community that feels entirely like home.

To our CTeen Leadership Board and every single teen who brought their energy to the circle this year: thank you for building a space where everyone actually belongs.

The burgers were excellent, but the company? Unmatched. See you all next year. 🌭🔥

If you stopped by the Chabad of Pittsford Tefillin, Shabbat Candles, and Challah Corner at the JCC yesterday, you felt it immediately; the moments inside the moment.

When a guy paused to wrap Tefillin there was no rush, just a shared space of quiet pride.

When hands were kneading dough it was more than just a workshop; it was a reminder that the home we build and the traditions we carry are the most important things we have.

Judaism isn’t meant to live on a shelf. It’s tactile. It’s warm. It’s meant to be felt in the sleeve rolled up, the flour on your hands, and the community standing right beside you.

To everyone who stepped into our corner to bake, to wrap, or just to catch up: thank you for bringing your spark. And thank you to the amazing volunteers who turned a festival corner into a moment to cherish.

“I’m the only Jewish kid in my middle school...” shares Rose

It takes incredible courage to stand up in front of a room full of peers and adults to share what’s truly in your heart.

Listen to this beautiful reflection from one of our amazing students at the Chabad of Pittsford Hebrew School year-end celebration.

For a child who navigates being the only Jewish student in her daily school environment, finding a warm, joyful space to connect with our heritage each week means everything.

Our goal has always been to build a proud foundation for our kids—giving them the confidence to celebrate who they are, share their traditions, and realize they are part of one massive, beautiful family.

We are so deeply proud of our students, so grateful to our dedicated teachers, and so inspired by the bright future of our community.

💬 Help us celebrate our kids! Drop a word of encouragement or a “Mazel Tov” for our incredible students in the comments below! 👇

Behind every beautiful community moment is a mountain of pasta, endless pans of baking, and a lot of love poured into the details.
Our Shavuot Garden Party has come and gone, and while the freezers are empty and the tent is quiet, our hearts are completely full.
Holidays bring us together, but it’s the warmth, the connections, and the shared inspiration that stick around long after the last piece of cheesecake is gone.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, stepped under the tent, and made this Shavuot so unforgettable.
💬 We’d love to hear from you: What was your favorite moment or takeaway from the Garden Party? Drop a comment below!

“The life we enjoy is made possible by their sacrifices...”
Today, the Chabad of Pittsford family joined our neighbors at the Pittsford Memorial Day Parade and Remembrance Ceremony. It was a deeply moving morning spent honoring the brave men and women who gave everything to protect the freedoms we cherish every single day.
A true highlight of the day was sitting with Louis Iacona, a 102-year-old veteran, whose presence and legacy inspires every single one of us. To see our children standing beside a living hero, listening to the band, and hearing the powerful remarks from Town Supervisor and Village Mayor Allysa Plummer was a beautiful reminder of what makes America so special.
In Jewish tradition, gratitude (Hakarat HaTov) is a core value. We don’t take our freedom for granted. We are so incredibly proud to be part of this wonderful Pittsford community.
