Berkshire County Arc The Agency provides services for individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injury, & autism.

Berkshire County Arc is a non-profit, tax exempt, human services organization which offers a broad range of community-based services to individuals with developmental disabilities, brain injuries and autism. Berkshire County Arc’s programs are located throughout Berkshire and Hampden Counties in Massachusetts.

Berkshire County Arc elected its Board of Directors and presented achievement awards – including its Employee of the Year award, selected from more than 860 employees, at its recent Annual Meeting on Oct. 13, 2026, at the Country Club of Pittsfield. Rep. Tricia Farley-Bouvier, who worked for BCArc years ago, and Rep. Leigh Davis , delivered remarks. Dan Burke, CEO of Lifeworks, was the keynote speaker.

Michael Ferry, Board Chair, and Maryann Hyatt, President & CEO, presided over the meeting attended by nearly 200 people. Berkshire Hills Music Academy provided music.

BCArc held a Trunk or Treat event for the community at Taconic High School. Staff, individuals, and volunteers decorated their vehicles in a variety of different themes.

Ed Deveno won the Bridge Builder Impact Award at the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers' Annual Membership Meeting. This award recognizes a direct support professional who builds connections and creates pathways to opportunity.

Ed works at BCArc as a one-on-one staff for Ken, who attended the event alongside him. In his work with Ken, Ed prioritizes personal growth and volunteer work in the community.

Dan, Fran, and Edie had an amazing day at the Jungle Experience Zoo with staff members Bryce, Karen, and Kaitlyn.

Maria, Benedicta, and Sidni are pursuing careers in the healthcare field.

Here they visit the Scrub Peddler together to purchase equipment and uniform accessories needed for their various pathways, which include CNA, LPN, and more.

They have completed an array of certificates and courses to reach their next steps.

"I am very excited and feel lucky," said Maria, who is completing an internship to become a Home Health Aide.
