Foundation was founded by Nolan’s parents (Ray & Amy) in memory of their son Nolan Berthelette. On July 18th, 2014, Nolan suffered a severe and unexpected brain aneurysm. Nolan became one of those in the 50 percentile who do not survive. Nolan was a very motivated individual who not only stood up for others, but went out of his way to befriend them when others did not. He also was an advocate for
the planet. At a very early age he became an activist and set out on a mission to protect the planet and had a fondness for the polar bears. Nolan was gifted and talented in drama and music. He played percussion and by the time he was in sixth grade, he was playing college level material. He taught himself ukelele, piano, and even some guitar and had formed his first band in sixth grade. Nolan was very academic. He usually achieved highest honors and he would go above and beyond to learn new things on his own. He had a passion for learning. Nolan also loved sports. Even though he had asthma and many allergies, he exceled at any sport he played. He played baseball, track, soccer, and was just starting football as he was getting ready to enter high school. Whether it was in academics, music, or sports, Nolan would go out of his way to help others. He made a difference to so many!
“Being a hero doesn't take a person that is superior to others or someone with an abnormal power. All it takes is an average human looking to do what is right for others.” ~Nolan Berthelette
