Meet GRANT LOEHNIG, our pianist for “Flower and Hawk” 🎹

Pianist and vocal coach Grant Loehnig serves as Head of Music Staff at Opera Philadelphia and Master Opera Coach on the faculty of the Curtis Institute of Music. He has worked regularly on the music staffs of Lyric Opera of Chicago, Wolf Trap Opera, Aspen Opera Theater, Spoleto Festival, and Festival Napa Valley. He also frequently serves as a judge for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

His recital credits include collaborations with Lawrence Brownlee, Susanne Mentzer, Morris Robinson, Paul Groves, John Holiday, Will Liverman, and Marcus DeLoach. For over ten years, Mr. Loehnig was Head of Music Staff for Wolf Trap Opera, where he also served as a recitalist and chorus master. He prepared the chorus and small roles for Houston Symphony’s performances of Berg’s Wozzeck, which was awarded the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Opera Recording. He has premiered pieces by David Hertzberg, Karim Al-Zand, and Tyshawn Sorey.

Meet our Eleanor of Aquitaine, ASHLEY MARIE ROBILLARD 🌹

Hailed as “a tour-de-force” by Bachtrack, Ashley Marie Robillard ( ) is a dynamic soprano celebrated for her compelling performances and versatility across opera, chamber music, and cabaret. She has worked under the batons of visionaries including Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Corrado Rovaris, Daniela Candillari, Karina Canellakis, and Kensho Watanabe, and worked with prolific directors like R.B. Schlather and Jordan Fein, collaborating with organizations such as Opera Philadelphia, Washington Concert Opera, Opera Lafayette, Wolf Trap Opera, and the Merola Opera Program. An alumna of the Curtis Institute of Music, Opera Philadelphia Emerging Artist Program, Merola Opera Program, and Wolf Trap Opera Studio, she is the recipient of awards from the Gerda Lissner Foundation and Opera Index competitions.
