Berkshire Magazine has announced its 2026 Berkshire 25, recognizing 25 individuals whose leadership, creativity, and dedication are making a lasting impact across our region.

We’re especially proud to celebrate two honorees who serve on 1Berkshire’s boards of directors.

Shaun Cusson, President & CEO of Hillcrest Educational Centers, serves on both the 1Berkshire Alliance Board and Foundation Board. His work has a significant impact on youth advocacy and workforce stability, alongside his commitment to human services and community leadership.

Dubois Thomas, President of the Blackshires Community Empowerment Foundation, serves on the 1Berkshire Alliance Board. Through his leadership, he advances economic justice, cultural equity, and leadership development for BIPOC communities in Berkshire County.

Their recognition reflects the depth of leadership and community engagement that helps move the Berkshires forward. Congratulations to Shaun, Dubois, and all of the 2026 Berkshire 25 honorees!

Join Berkshire Magazine on Wednesday, October 14, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Beacon Cinema in Pittsfield for a special reception celebrating this year’s honorees. Sponsored by Beacon Bank, the event is open to the public. Stay afterward for special screenings of Other Mommy and Raiders of the Lost Ark, both featuring honoree Karen Allen.
