Pittsfield’s new postcard-style mural has been signed, sealed, and delivered!

Artist Damien Mitchell has completed "Greetings from Pittsfield," a postcard-style mural on the north side of the Wolfson Center at 122 North Street in Pittsfield.

The art jury selected Damien Mitchell from a Call For Art with more than 30 submissions from across the country. The project aimed to uplift the community with an expertly crafted artistic vision by working in partnership with an established “postcard-style” muralist.

The design used the classic large letter postcard style with the aim to depict the pride of our local community and spark the interests of visitors. The goal of this mural is to contribute positivity to Pittsfield's visual landscape and heighten our city’s profile with a social media worthy design.

This mural project was made possible with generous support from New England Foundation for the Arts’ Making It Public (MIP) for Massachusetts Municipalities Grant, Barrington Stage Company, and The Cooper Center.

"Well-known chocolatier Tarah Warner is moving into her own storefront to have her own kitchen and bring more of her truffles to downtown and beyond.

Truffles by Tarah LLC will soon be opening her own place at 123 North St., formerly housing Italian restaurant Brooklyn's Best.

A storefront has been Warner's lifelong dream, and it will help her to get her kitchen back.

Warner has currently been operating out of her home kitchen with a cottage kitchen and cottage wholesale license. She has currently been selling at pop-ups and events.

"Literally, at my breaking point, I don't have enough room to cook for myself. My boyfriend likes to tease me. I'm a classically trained chef, and I don't cook for him because I have less space than this table is to prepare any meals because everything else belongs to the business." "
