We could use some more boy backpacks! I'm filling the ones I have this weekend and sending them off to families :) if anyone could donate even just one it would make a huge difference! I did notice that at our local family dollar they have backs for just $3 & $5 :)

I just need to know how many Students you have, gender, age/grade, their favorite color/style (I don't want to assume a girl likes sequins and unicorns and boys Trucks and cars). And we will go from there. It all stays confidential between you and I. And I am so grateful to all you wonderful, supportive, caring and courageous parents who reach out and allow me to help them :)

Also, Update on our Village! As I start going through the back packs and supplies i am noticing a some things we could definitely use a little more of such as:

~Boys Back Packs for all ages/grades
~ Water Bottles
~ Pencil pouches/cases
~ Protractors
~ Folders
~ Boxes of Tissues/Individually Tissues
~Hand Sanitizer
(Most of this can be found on our Amazon Wish List for your convenience with items for even just a few dollars)

And remember you never have to stick to the lists! If you find something that you believe would be useful for a student then please do :) Donating items for the teachers are also very welcome! Items for their desks, stickers small rewards to give out, posters, electronic pencil sharpeners. Everything is gratefully appreciated!!

Thank you so much everyone for making this such an amazing Village!! Our record was last year when we helped 117 students in our community! We don't have enough to reach that goal yet but we are close!

As usual I am so overwhelmed with the care and generous our town shows for our kids 😍 we have received some great bags and supplies!! And I have had some great times opening up some Amazon packages!! It's like Christmas!! My heart is so happy to know that our kids with the least in our town will feel like rock stars going back to school!! Our collection bin is still at Pittsfield’s Main St Variety, Joy Church is accepting donations and our wish list is up and open on Amazon :) pretty soon I will start handing out our bags and supplies!! You will see a post soon about reaching out to me to make that happen!

The collection bin is up at Pittsfield’s Main St Variety!! There is a list of suggested supplies posted on the bin and a few extras will be left in the bin if you need to take one. There will also be some little papers with the amazon with list on it in case anyone would rather ship donations to me that way :) Joy Church is also accepting donations :)
Pittsfield School Board has approved the reopening plan presented by the teachers and staff and we are happy to say we will be starting off with a hybrid schedule and the first day of school will be September 3 :) one important thing will be that students can not share supplies so every donation will be a huge help for the students, teachers and parents! If you have any questions just let me know!

It is that time of year again!! Last year because of Pittsfield's Community's generosity we were able to help 117 kids go back to school with new back packs and school supplies!! As well as donations made directly to the teachers!
This year will be very important because of all that is happening and the importance of the kids not sharing supplies. We know teachers end up buying a lot of supplies and this will be such a big burden for them. So with all the help you can give we will do our best to get as many kids ready for school and teachers that extra help! There will be a collection bin at Main St Variety in just a of couple days! If anyone wants to order from amazon and have it shipped right to me you can message me directly and we can make that happen :) when I drop the collection bin off I will let you all know and add a list of suggested items :)

I'm Desiree Holland and I've been a proud member of the Pittsfield NH community for 30+ years. An idea that I hold dear to my heart and have full belief in is that "it takes a village". Holding true to my belief in this, over the years I have collaborated with other members of our community to help one another in various ways. I have discovered that Pittsfield is a town filled with love/generosity/compassion/courage. Inspiring and motivating to help our community in any way I can and help others to help too :) This villager is here for you!
