Animal Lifeline Pittsburgh We are a non-profit, volunteer organization providing a New Beginning to homeless pets within our community and beyond.

We are comprised of individuals who share a passion to create a better and kinder world for all of the creatures living amongst us. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing humane solutions to animals in need of a second chance. Our organization, made up of caring volunteers, provides free transport to at risk animals from overcrowded shelters, disaster relief and animal cruelty conditions.

Beautiful little Ms. Petunia with the stunning green eyes is looking for her forever home. We couldn’t leave her behind when we took in several dogs from a hoarder but we didn’t have an available foster. Our hearts knew we would need to figure something out so she is currently in boarding.
She is just a tiny little thing of about 15 lbs and about 2 years old.
She doing great with potty, she is crate trained and does well with other dogs and cats.

Please help us find this little blooming flower her forever and ever home.

🐾 Meet Charger — a gentle soul looking for his very special person. ❤️

Charger is a beautiful 4-year-old, 9 lb. Miniature Poodle who came to us several months ago from a breeder when he was no longer of use to the person who had him.

And while Charger may be tiny, his journey has been a big one.

When he first arrived, he was scared of the world. He was so frightened that he wouldn’t even look at us. He didn’t understand that hands could be gentle, homes could be safe, and people could be trusted.

But thanks to the incredible love and patience of his foster family, Charger has made leaps and bounds. ❤️

He is still fearful and needs time to trust new people, but underneath that fear is one of the sweetest, gentlest souls. Charger is completely housebroken, enjoys the company of other dogs, and has never shown his fear through nipping or biting. When he becomes overwhelmed, his instinct is simply to hide.

For Charger, we aren’t looking for just any home. We’re looking for the right home.

🏡 A securely fenced yard is required.
❤️ A quiet, low-chaos household is important.
🐾 A patient person who understands fearful dogs is essential.
⏰ Most of all, he needs someone willing to give him the time he needs to feel safe and learn to trust.

Charger isn’t going to walk into his new home and immediately understand that everything is okay. His person will need to earn his trust, celebrate the little victories and allow him to blossom at his own pace.

We know that special person is out there.

Sometimes a vase gets broken, but the pieces aren’t worthless. With patience, love and care, they can be put back together into a mosaic more beautiful than before.

Charger is our little mosaic. ❤️

Now he just needs someone willing to help him finish becoming the beautiful dog we already know he is.

Meet Elmer Fud! 🐾

Hi! My name is Elmer Fud, and while I was born as a Chihuahua mix, my foster mom says I look and act more like a Golden Retriever puppy trapped in a smaller body! 😂💛

I’m approximately 2 years old, 18 lbs and I’m a happy, playful guy who LOVES making friends. 🐶 I enjoy playing with all the dogs I meet, and I’ve met a few kids and did really well with them, too!

⭐ Housebroken
⭐ Crate trained
⭐ Dog friendly
⭐ Has done well with kids
⭐ Loves to play
⭐ Certified good boy ❤️

I also enjoy going for walks! I’m still working on my leash manners because sometimes I get a little excited and pull—but hey, there’s a whole world out there to explore!

🏡 A fenced yard is a must for me so I have a safe place to run, play and burn off some of that happy energy.

My foster mom says I’m such a good boy and SO much fun! I’m ready to find a family who wants a playful, loving sidekick to share their adventures.

💕 Meet Miss Prissy (aka Charlie)💕

Don’t let her fancy given name fool you—Miss Prissy is better known as Charlie, or our sweet Charlie Girl! 🐾

Charlie is a 2 1/2 year old, 20 lb sweetheart who had a rough beginning, but you would never know it by meeting her today. She has such a happy, loving spirit and is simply grateful to be surrounded by people who love her.

Charlie, the adorable Chihuahua mix, absolutely loves other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine companion to play with. She also has a serious love for toys! 🧸 In fact, if Charlie has a favorite toy, you can pretty much count on it going everywhere she goes. It’s her little security blanket and best friend all rolled into one!

She adores people and loves nothing more than being with her humans. Charlie is eager to please, a quick learner, and loves showing off her adorable “sit pretty.” She still has plenty of puppy-like fun in her, including the occasional zoomies that remind everyone she’s only 2 1/2! 💨🐶

When the day winds down, Charlie knows exactly what time it is: bedtime! She loves being tucked into her own cozy bed, but she’s also perfectly happy to wait patiently until her people invite her into theirs. Really, she just wants to be wherever her people are.

Charlie is the kind of dog who doesn’t need much to be happy—a loving family, a few toys, a cozy bed, and someone to call her own. She has so much love to give and is ready for the forever family she deserves. ❤️

Charlie Girl is proof that a difficult beginning doesn’t have to define a beautiful future. 🐾💕

🎃 Hey, everyone! My name is Pixie!

I’m a little pumpkin who is the perfect treat! I’m a whole lot of sugar with just a little bit of spice… topped with that warm, sweet cream cheese frosting you simply can’t resist. 🧡

I’m 5 years old and about 9 pounds of love. I’m housebroken, crate trained, and an expert snuggler. I’ll happily curl up with you in bed, but I’m an even better lap dog. And kisses? I have plenty of those to give! 💋🐾

My life started out pretty great. I had a person who loved me and gave me lots of attention. Then one day, my person got very sick and went to the hospital… and he never came home. 💔 My whole world changed.

But I know my story isn’t over.

Somewhere out there is another person who will love me just as much and give me the forever home I deserve. ❤️

I’d be happiest as your one and only, soaking up all the attention for myself. I can tolerate another pet as long as they’re calm, low-key, and understand that I’m not looking for an annoying roommate. 😉 After all, I have standards!

Arlo is an approximately 8-year-old, 70-pound gentleman with a calm, easygoing personality and so much love to give. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who enjoys life’s simple pleasures, Arlo may be your perfect match.

This sweet boy has impeccable manners. He walks beautifully on a leash, loves going for strolls, rides quietly in the car, and is a wonderfully quiet housemate. Arlo is fantastic with children of all ages—including infants—and gets along well with both cats and other dogs.

Mom is tired but all 7 are doing great and mom is being very attentive to her kidz.
