Sustainable Pittsburgh Restaurant is a formal performance program, led by Sustainable Pittsburgh, that recognizes restaurants in southwestern PA for their sustainable practices and helps restaurants advance their sustainability goals.
Designated restaurants demonstrate care for the environment and their communities with actions like: -Donating food -Sourcing locally -Providing healthy options -Reducing or recycling their waste
From establishing community gardens to installing commercial grade composting systems to retrofitting bikes for meal deliveries, Sustainable Pittsburgh Restaurants are at the forefront of transforming Pittsburgh from a “foodie” city to a “sustainable foodie” city.
