Couple plays, teaches bridge in support of brain health 💜

David and Maureen Loeb teach bridge and host games for the American Contract Bridge League - ACBL. Last year the couple raised more than $10,000 at their Do What You Love to End ALZ bridge event. This year David and Maureen are expanding their efforts to include even more bridge clubs around Pittsburgh in this mission of love.

What a great way to support brain health and raise funds for the mission! We are so thankful for the Loebs for all they do and their passion in the fight to and all other dementia.

Cathy Lavin is a Monroe County participant whose team, In Memory of Peter Lavin, has been the top fundraising team since 2014.

“I am proud to honor my husband Peter's memory,” says Cathy. As a support group facilitator for the Alzheimer's Association, Cathy is also intently focused on supporting caregivers. "Each week, I listen to caregivers’ concerns which mirror mine back when I cared for Peter," she shared.

Cathy has taken her passion for caregiving to another level, writing a book -- a roadmap for those starting their own journeys of caregiving.

We are so appreciative of Cathy's multi-pronged dedication to our mission. We invite everyone to take a page out of Cathy's book by forming a Walk team today: alz.org/gpawalk.
