On this National Doctors’ Day, I pause with a full heart to thank the three extraordinary physicians who truly saved my life: Dr. Julian, Dr. Christou and Dr. Trombetta..
When I was diagnosed with inflammatory breast cancer, everything changed in an instant. But they saw possibility where there was fear. They acted with urgency, compassion, and brilliance—guiding me onto a clinical trial that gave me not just treatment, but hope… and ultimately, more time, more memories, more life.I am here today because of their courage to pursue innovation and their commitment to their patients beyond the standard path.
Today is also a reminder of something bigger: Clinical trials are not a last resort—they are a vital pathway forward.Every patient who participates, every family who supports, and every physician who leads these efforts is helping to move medicine ahead. We must continue to encourage participation, increase awareness, and support clinical research so that more lives can be saved. To my doctors—thank you for seeing me, believing in a different path, and giving me a second chance at life.
And to anyone facing a diagnosis: ask about clinical trials. They matter more than you may ever know.
