Selph Builders uses a track-based system. Here's how it works: 💙

Day 1: Comprehensive assessment
Then you're assigned to one of four tracks based on where YOU are:

✅ Track 1 (Ready) – Self-directed, Week 2 job placement
✅ Track 2 (Building) – Structured guidance
✅ Track 3 (Strengthening) – Intensive daily support
✅ Track 4 (Restoring) – Clinical stabilization first

Same access to therapy, medical care, case management. Different pathways.

We're looking for workforce partners. 💙

Save Our Selphs offers Week 2 employment placement for participants in our Selph Builders program. That means by Day 14, residents are ready to work—with wrap-around support.

We need employers who are willing to:
✅ Hire participants with lived experience
✅ Offer entry-level opportunities
✅ Work with our on-site case managers for support

Construction, hospitality, retail, trades, warehousing—we're open to all industries.

"Why don't you just send people to existing shelters?" 💙

Because existing shelters:
❌ Separate families
❌ Don't allow pets
❌ Require you to leave during the day
❌ Don't offer therapy, medical care, job placement on-site
❌ Have a bed—not a home

Save Our Selphs is different.

We're building a residential village where people stay. Get therapy. See doctors. Get jobs by Week 2. Build pathways to homeownership.

Not a shelter. A village.

Open positions:

📋 Treasurer (priority need)
📋 Board members with expertise in:
• Real Estate & Property Development
• Finance & Fundraising
• Legal & Compliance
• Social Services & Program Development
• Community Engagement
• Business & Operations

Time commitment: 8-15 hours/month, monthly board meetings, committee participation, strategic guidance, fundraising advocacy.

We raised $2,000 at our April 19 fundraising dinner. 💙

$2,000 closer to $300K.
$2,000 closer to opening our doors in Coraopolis.
$2,000 because this community showed up.

My husband and I were once homeless. We started Save Our Selphs because we knew people deserved better. Sunday proved we're not building this alone.

So let me tell you why this matters so much to us.

Not long ago, my husband and I were homeless. We were the ones who needed help.

We know what it's like to need more than just a bed—to need real support, real pathways, real community.

That's why 626 5th Ave isn't just a building to us. It's what we wish we'd had.

14 beds. Therapy on-site. Medical care on-site. Week 2 employment. Crisis to stability to homeownership.

Sunday, April 19 at 4:00 PM, we're gathering at Four Twelve Project to make this real.

Here's why "all services on-site" matters. 💙

When you're experiencing homelessness:

❌ You miss therapy appointments because you don't have bus fare.
❌ You can't make it to the doctor because the clinic is across town.
❌ You lose your job because you couldn't get to the case manager meeting.

At 626 5th Ave:

✅ Therapists come to you.
✅ Doctors come to you.
✅ Case managers are in the building.
✅ Dental, vision, medical care—on-site.

No transportation barriers. No missed appointments. No choosing between getting help and keeping a job.

My husband and I were once homeless. We know what it's like to lose progress because you couldn't get to an appointment.

This model changes that.
