One of the things we’re most proud of at Empower & Elevate PGH Women is that our volunteer opportunities are open to all ages. 💗

We believe it’s never too early to learn what it means to give back.

When kids help pack a Glow Bag, load up a car, organize supplies, or hand out kits, they’re doing more than helping us get the job done. They’re learning about kindness, empathy, gratitude, and the responsibility we all have to take care of people in our community.

They’re learning that something as simple as shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant or period products isn’t something every person can take for granted.

And most importantly, they’re learning that they are never too young to make a difference. ❤️

Some of our littlest volunteers may not fully understand the impact of what they’re doing yet—but we hope these experiences help raise a generation that sees helping others as a normal part of life.

We’re incredibly grateful for every volunteer who shows up for our mission—whether they’re 5, 10, 40 or 80. 🥰

Little hands can make a BIG impact. 💕

💗 1,370 KITS AND COUNTING! 💗

So far in 2026, Empower & Elevate PGH Women has assembled and distributed 1,370 personal hygiene kits to women and girls in need throughout the Pittsburgh area.

But what exactly is inside one of our kits?

Each $30 donation helps provide a thoughtfully packed hygiene kit filled with everyday essentials:

🌸 15 tampons
🌸 15 pads
🌸 10 panty liners
🧴 Shampoo & conditioner
🪮 Comb and/or hairbrush
🎀 Hair clip & hair tie
🧼 Deodorant
🧴 Body lotion & lip balms
🫧 Hand soap or hand sanitizer
💅 Nail file & nail clippers
✨ Tweezers & cotton swabs
🚿 Bar soap with a soap holder OR body wash & loofah, pack of disposable wash cloths
🪒 Razor
🦷 Toothbrush, toothbrush cap, toothpaste & floss

💌 And something you can’t put a price on: a handwritten card with words of encouragement from one of our wonderful volunteers — a reminder to the woman or girl receiving it that she matters, she is worthy, and her community cares about her.

These aren’t luxuries. They’re basic necessities — and a little reminder that no one should feel forgotten.

💗 For every $30 we raise, 100% goes toward providing hygiene essentials directly to women and girls in need.

1,370 kits = 1,370 women and girls receiving essential products with dignity, compassion and care.

We couldn’t do this without our incredible donors, volunteers and community partners. Every donation, every product collected, every handwritten note and every kit packed makes a difference. 💕
