🌿 Help Make Trafford Bloom! Join the Beautification Team 🌸

Do you have a green thumb (or just a desire to help your community look its best)? The Trafford Beautification Team is looking for volunteers for the 2026 season!

Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or someone who doesn't mind picking up a few sticks to keep our parks clean, we would love to have you.

How it works:

Your Own Space: Once assigned a garden or area in a Trafford public space, you have the power to work on it whenever it fits your schedule!

Support & Supplies: We have a budget for needs that arise, and while we use our own tools, I have specialty equipment you can borrow from time to time.

Pop-up Work Parties: We’ll host "flash" work sessions when the weather is nice and free time allows.

Community Impact: From mulching large beds to clearing new areas, we work together to make a visible difference in Trafford.

Join us for our Kick-off Meeting!
Come meet the team, learn how you can help, and help us do a quick "spring cleaning" of the park to get the season started.

We also can sign off on volunteer hours for our high school volunteers!

We’re so thankful to have gotten the opportunity to visit Trafford Elementary today for Operation: Trafford Sprouts! where we provided every class with the opportunity to learn about flowers and plant one of their own!
We brought in both Marigold and Zinnia seedlings and taught the kids how to transplant into a larger pot. From there they can watch them grow on their classroom windowsill and take them home around Mother’s Day.
We think the kids really enjoyed themselves, and hopefully as much as we did!
Thank you to Busy Beaver (Delmont) for the generous donation of the bug tubs and all the potting soil, and to Dr Horvat for donating the pots and popsicle sticks! Together, we all win!

Hey Trafford! Thank you to all who have signed up so far! With your help and with the folks from last year, we're looking to make a bigger difference this season. We're still looking for a few good men and women, the link to our website and to sign up to help is in the first comment. It can be a little or a lot, your choice. Together we can make Trafford a more beautiful place!

Just as the bushes flowers and grasses are about to awake from a long winter's night, so is the Trafford Beautification Team. As we awaken, we're looking for volunteers and sponsors.
VOLUNTEERS: Are you looking for a unique way to give back to the community? We're looking for folks to step up and help us make a more beautiful town. The sky is truly the limit!

Coordinator: Not really into the physical stuff, for whatever reason? We're looking for someone to help coordinate the volunteers, projects and annual fundraising. We're part of the Trafford Economic & Community Development Corp - TECDC a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.

Members: Ever wanted your own public garden you can take care of that hundred or thousands of people walk or drive by each year? This is that position. We'll give you a space you can call your own. We just ask that you take care if it.

Casual Volunteers: We are in need of help for spring/fall cleanups of our local parks and greenspaces, and folks we can call on for special projects.
