An ICE detainee was put in solitary confinement, then transferred out of state after the private contractor that runs a Pennsylvania detention center claimed he encouraged others to refuse meals to protest conditions, a report obtained by Spotlight PA and WITF reveals.

Years after other banks cut ties with for-profit ICE contractors CoreCivic and GEO Group, Citizens Bank is still helping ensure they have the cash they need to expand and imprison even more of our neighbors in inhumane conditions.

Most recently, in January 2026, Citizens Bank helped GEO Group expand its credit line by $100 million.

While people are suffering and dying in ICE camps, for-profit prison companies and Citizens Bank are raking in more of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars.

It's time to hold corporate enablers accountable and tell Citizens Bank enough is enough. No more cash for ICE camps! Links in bio to find an action or host one of your own.

Pittsburgh Women for Democracy is proud that our two Pittsburgh-area Representatives answered our call to visit the Moshannon Valley Detention Center. Congressional oversight of these facilities is one of the many duties of our federal elected officials.

Help us shut down Moshannon Detention by calling on the Clearfield County Commissioners--Dave Glass, Tim Winters and John Sobel--to ask them to vote NO on renewing the county's contract with ICE and The GEO Group, the private, for-profit prison company that owns and operates the facility.

Yesterday, in honor of Mother’s Day, a group of us went up to Philipsburg to stand in solidarity with the mothers, grandmothers, aunts, caregivers and children who are separated from their families by this administration’s cruel immigration detention industry.

While we are sad today because families are not together, we know that reconciliation is coming. When that day comes, we will work together to build a nation that welcomes immigrants, respects human rights and finally makes good on its promise of liberty and justice for all.

Advocates have been begging legislators to take action on gun violence for years. And the best this administration and PA lawmakers can do is talk about building a new ballroom for the president.

They protect the ultra wealthy with more walls and chandeliers, and the rest of us get thoughts and prayers. The priorities are wild.
