Funded in 2007 as a composer consortium, Alia Musica has made a name for itself as an actor in the new music scene in Pittsburgh and in the US at large. On March 5, at Chatham University, we present Emanuele Arciuli performing Frederic Rzwesky's "The People United"! The Pittsburgh stop of his US tour of the piece.

Our homage to our late friend Fred also includes "The Fall of the Empire", for speaking percussionst, written by him with and for Allen Otte, who plays the piece in the first part of an amazing double feature.

This Friday, WQED's Performance in Pittsburgh will broadcast the opera The Mother of Fishes, by Roger Dannenberg and Jorge Sastre Martínez, in Alia Musica's February 2020 performance, following a performance by pianist Tina Faigen.
