At the race yesterday something very special happened and we are truly honored! The Office of County Council, Allegheny County was there to present a Proclamation recognizing the 10th Annual Joey Fabus Superhero 5K/1 Mile Walk! Councilman Dan Grzybek personally attended to present the Proclamation to our family! We are very grateful and deeply moved by the recognition of our Joey! Thank you to the Office of County Council and especially to Dan Grzybek for being there!

What a day we had! Yesterday marked the 10th Anniversary of the 5K and we couldn’t be more thankful for all the runners and walkers that came out to support our cause, not only for Jett and Sam but also in honor of our sweet Joey and Hazel who I am sure were looking done on us from above! Tomorrow is race day! Hard to believe we are here! Please join us in celebration of those who we have lost through the years to childhood cancer and DIPG. Honor those still fighting the fight and help us support them. Remember our Joey! Good evening! Race day is 5 days away! Registrations are picking up! We still need your help so keep telling your friends and family about the race and encourage them to sign up and join us for a wonderful event for a great cause!
We also need a few more volunteers at packet pick up on Saturday 9/13 at Duck Donuts in Upper Saint Clair from 10am to 1pm! On Sunday, 9/14 we need 4 people to help us at the registration table for check ins and race day sign ups. We really appreciate your time and your help!
