🔔 Reminder! Just a few more days remain to apply for this year’s North Hills Foundation scholarships. All applications are due this Wednesday, April 15, unless noted below. The Foundation is awarding the following scholarships this year:

🎓 Three (3) $1,000 College & University Scholarships – For seniors attending a four-year college or university.
🎓 One (1) $1,000 Trade & Technical Scholarship – For a senior enrolling in a two-year college, vocational school, technical institute, or career training program.
🎓 One (1) $1,000 Workforce Scholarship – For a senior entering the workforce directly after graduation. Eligible students may be pursuing apprenticeships, internships, industry certifications, or jobs requiring equipment or startup costs.

In addition, several community-funded scholarships are available:

🎵 Annette Lois Giovengo Music Scholarship – A $500 award for a graduating senior who has demonstrated academic excellence while participating in the symphony orchestra. (Application deadline: April 24)
🎙️ Peggy Ann Madden Scholarship – Multiple scholarships worth a combined total of no less than $5,000 for seniors pursuing careers in speech and debate, communications, journalism, and/or English education.
⚽️ Addie Maiette Memorial Scholarship – A $500 scholarship for one senior female soccer player at North Hills High School, intended to support her pursuit of her passion.
🛠️ Chads Mullinary Real Estate Trade & Technical Scholarship – Two (2) $500 scholarships for seniors entering a two-year college, vocational school, technical institute, or career training program.

Exciting news for 2026 North Hills seniors! 🎓 The scholarships we introduced last year are back and this year, the North Hills Foundation will award five $1,000 scholarships, $2,000 more than our inaugural year! These scholarships support North Hills High School graduates pursuing college, trade programs, or entering the workforce, made possible by the generosity of our alumni, employees, community partners, and donors. Always great to welcome 105.9 The X sports talk host Mark Madden to North Hills! Mark visited yesterday and spoke with students about his career in journalism and broadcasting and shared the story behind the Peggy Ann Madden Scholarship, created in memory of his mother, a longtime English teacher and speech and debate coach at North Hills.

Each year, the scholarship supports seniors pursuing careers in speech and debate, communications, journalism, and/or English education. Since its inception, $16,500 has been awarded to 13 students! Apply online by April 15: https://www.nhsd.net/madden-scholarship
