Join Greater Pittsburgh Area MAD DADS for our 20th Anniversary Benefit Concert & Live Recording, featuring the extraordinary talent of Alton Merrell & IMPACT.

This is more than a concert. It’s a celebration of 20 years of showing up for our neighborhoods, supporting our youth, strengthening families, and believing in what our communities can become.

There is power in a community that refuses to let its people stand alone.

Sometimes strength looks like showing up. Sometimes it looks like putting an arm around a young man who needs guidance.

Sometimes it looks like neighbors joining hands, bowing their heads, and praying together.

The Greater Pittsburgh Area MAD DADS 20th Anniversary Benefit Concert is more than a celebration — it’s an opportunity to invest directly in the future of our communities.

Every contribution helps us continue two important parts of our mission: putting a positive, visible presence in Pittsburgh neighborhoods through our Street Patrol program and opening educational doors for students through scholarship support.

MAD DADS didn’t begin because everything was okay. It began because fathers decided everything was NOT okay.

In 1989, a handful of community fathers came together after seeing children dying in the streets and young people losing hope in their own neighborhoods.

They reached a difficult conclusion: waiting for someone else to fix it wasn’t enough.

So they chose to show up...

To be visible, vocal and vigilant.

To mentor young people.

To provide positive father figures.

To stand in the streets, serve families, strengthen neighborhoods, and remind young people that somebody sees them, somebody cares, and somebody believes their future is worth fighting for.

That same purpose continues through Greater Pittsburgh MAD DADS today.

Because when a community is hurting, we don't turn away.

We must be the force behind the change.

There are young people in our communities with the ability to become tomorrow’s doctors, educators, attorneys, entrepreneurs, mentors, and leaders.

A lack of resources should never be the reason those dreams go unrealized.

That’s why investing in education matters. Scholarships and community support can help remove financial barriers and give young people a fairer chance to become who they were meant to be.
