Jazz on WBW Louisiana Style Featuring the Boilermaker Band

Immerse yourself in a delightful evening of Louisiana-style jazz while savoring a delicious meal inspired by the heart of New Orleans. Indulge in comforting Red Beans and Rice, creamy potato salad, sweet Pralines, and refreshing Sweet Tea. Special performances by Hill Dance Academy Theatre Dancers will occur throughout the night.

Join us on November 29th as we kick off the Holiday Season. The Annual Holiday Bazaar will feature local vendors and businesses, great food, music, and a visit from a special visitor. We will start at 10am for you early shoppers and go until 6pm with a Jazz concert featuring the Tony Campbell Quartet. This event is great for the entire family, from babies to grandparents.

Guitarist Jonathan DiGiulian and his trio will keep the legacy of Pittsburgh Jazz going this Friday, October 25, 2024, from 5pm-8pm as part of the Jazz on WBW Fall Jazz Sessions at the Morgan-Lee Centre's Event Space. 2900 Bedford Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15219. Join us for this free event. Great music, community, and environment.

Amidst the dreary weekend, we had a great weekend at the Morgan-Lee Arts Centre. Friday, the community came out to listen to the Calvin Stemley Quartet and enjoy food from the ATU Food Truck. A special performance by the dancers of Hill Dance Academy Theatre kept the set break entertaining as patrons bought candles from Roots Natural Candles.

Saturday saw a brief break in the clouds that lasted long enough to allow an African Batik class to take place under the tent in our parking lot. Presented by Folk Quilts and taught by Saihou Njie, 25 participants learned the unique art of Batik. Meanwhile, The Lighthouse Project taught the history and styles of Jazz in the Event Space. Led by Thomas Wendt, the small group received a great dose of history. October will bring more great community events for all to enjoy. www.morganleeartscentre.com
