The School of Life ashram in Bethesda, Maryland recently hosted a workshop for people who are interested in learning about the Women's Self Reliance Program with the intention of applying the principles and practices to their own projects. The workshop consisted of six sessions held over a three-day weekend (Friday evening to Sunday afternoon) and covering the three main components of WSRP – organic vegetable gardening, nutrition education and microenterprise. Workshop attendees received a comprehensive workbook that was designed as a guide for implementing the program.
More resources for those interested in helping indigent women and their families in this country or abroad, will soon be available. Interested parties are encouraged to contact me, Rose Lord, by personal message on my page or on the Women's Self-Reliance Program page. And please share this post with anyone who you think might be interested.
The Women's Self-Reliance Program, with projects in Guatemala and Haiti is a division of Global Coalition for Peace, a strictly volunteer, non-profit corporation
