At Acrisure Stadium tonight for Dinner with the Doctors annual event sponsored by Children’s Hospital Foundation in Pittsburgh. This year‘s focus was on the hospice and palliative care program which our Pittsburgh hospital has been a national forerunner in developing. This year Dr. Scott Maurer the director of the program was the “Maurer of the Hour”. 😄 Scott was so compassionate with Anya during her last few months with us. 💙

This is an opportunity to support Dr. Kelly Bailey's pediatric cancer research for Ewing sarcoma, a rare and devastating disease that our beloved daughter Anya was impacted by. This is Anya's story. Our daughter was only nine years old when she began feeling excruciating pain in her right leg. What the pediatrician first thought was growing pains, turned out to be Ewing sarcoma.
