I mentioned in the last post that we would be posting about activity and needs in Pakistans and Uganda. Mayamba is the director of the Interfaith children’s home in Kampala Uganda. STMM was able to send him the funds to put electricity in the house for the children. Thank you for making that happen! I have posted the pics, video and thanks from Mayamba for the electric and hookup!
Mayamba has posted a request on his page asking for $1920 to replace items destroyed in the fire. The church paid for the building repairs and rebuild. STMM paid for electrical. Anything that you could provide to help with this need would be appreciated! It is to replace mattresses and bedding as well as toiletries and clothing. I haven’t asked Mayamba about it but part of that need is probably also to replace the reusable sanitary items for the girls that we provided and they received at the end of March. Ministry partners we at Seize the Moment Ministries want to thank you for your continued prayers and support of the people and work going on in India, Uganda and Pakistan. You have been making a difference! We wanted to make you aware of current activity and needs happening in Pakistan’s and Uganda.

In the city of Sail Pakistan pastor Tariq is working with the family of a boy named Isaac. He had a bad ear infection that perforated his ear drum. They are t sure what caused the infection but he is in the hospital and has been diagnosed as having jaundice and typhoid. They are going to need to send samples to Karachi to see if he has anything else. He’s been in a real bad way with fever and pain and I believe he has been trowing up. STMM has sent funds to cover current costs but the bills continue to accumulate. Please pray for his healing and health. Pray for wisdom of those treating him that it can be successful treated! Also if you would care to donate or feel the leading of God to give towards his medical expenses it would be greatly appreciated! I will post a picture of Isaac when he was initially being seen in the hospital for the ear infection and perforated ear drum. He was admitted a number of days later and was diagnosed with Jaundice and typhoid.

Hurray! Electricity and lights vs candles that start fires and impact lives!

The Interfaith Children’s home now has electricity and no longer needs to use candles to light their home. The candles started a fire destroying the girls rooms at the children’s home. Thanks for the support. Please pray that the children would emotionally recover from the impact of this fire.

Thank you for sharing funds with us so that we could cover the cost of adding electricity to the Interfaith Children’s Hime in Uganda! The work has been done so they will no longer need candles to light the home at night significantly reducing the risk of another fire.

Thank you folks for your contributions and prayers! The orphanage in Uganda has received the $2300 they needed to add electrical to their house. This will eliminate the need to use candles at night to light the house in the evenings. They are making progress in recovering from the significant fire they had a number of weeks ago.

We also thank you for the donations to the ministry allowing us to send real funds to Pastor Tariq us Pakistan to help the people in the town in Panjab. They have been dealing with major flooding and their source of income, the brick kiln factory, has now been shutdown for months

This is a note I received last night from Pastor Tariq!

We want to express our heartfelt gratitude for your faithful support over the year. Since the devastating floods, you have consistently stood with us whenever there has been a need. Your generosity and compassion have touched the lives of many families, and we are truly thankful for every act of kindness and every sacrifice you have made.

Once again, thank you for your generous financial support for the brick kiln workers whose work has come to a stop, as well as for other deserving families in need. Your partnership in this ministry is a great encouragement and a true blessing.

By God's grace, tomorrow we plan to distribute groceries and essential support to those families. Through your financial assistance, we hope to reach approximately 40–45 families and bring them hope during this difficult time.

Please continue to remember us in your prayers as we serve these communities. May the Lord richly bless you, reward your generosity, and continue to use you as a blessing to many.

Last week, The Interfaith Health Outreach Foundation, led by Henry Mayamba, experienced a devastating fire in the home where the children live. Several people were injured, but by God's grace, no lives were lost.

The fire caused significant damage to the home. When I asked Henry why they were using candles instead of electricity for lighting, he explained that they simply did not have the financial resources to bring electrical service to the house. Candles seemed like the only affordable option, but after this tragic fire, it is clear that a safer solution is urgently needed.

The local church has generously stepped in to fund the repairs and rebuilding of the damaged rooms, and that work is expected to be completed soon.

The remaining need is to install electricity in the home and connect it to the local power grid. Henry estimates this will cost approximately $2,300 USD. Once installed, the monthly electric bill is expected to be less than $10 USD—a very manageable ongoing expense that will provide the children with a much safer place to live.

Henry has not asked us to raise these funds, but I know this is a critical need. If God has blessed you with the ability to help, any gift—large or small—would make a lasting difference in providing these children with a safe home.
