Sometimes, nonprofits need to act quickly to meet emerging needs in their communities. Having the right support at the right time can make all the difference.

Through Meeting the Moment, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania partners with The Heinz Endowments, The Pittsburgh Foundation and McAuley Ministries to provide rapid-response funding for urgent nonprofit needs.

Thank you to everyone who joined Women United members and allies at the Fred Rogers Institute for a morning celebrating philanthropy, leadership and women supporting women!

Women United member Christine Mohler-King shared the importance of making women feel welcome and empowered. Attendees also packed more than 200 kits filled with books and educational activities to help young learners across our region get excited about reading.

Every year, these incredible teams join forces to lend a helping hand at Laurelville. In just a single day, they tackle what would otherwise take us weeks to accomplish—from grounds maintenance and facility prep to big improvement projects across camp.

Their energy, hard work, and dedication are a true blessing to our staff, our guests, and the entire Laurelville community. We are deeply grateful for your continued partnership and for pouring so much heart into caring for this place.
