*IMPORTANT UPDATE* Commercial Street Bridge Replacement Project: Commercial Street/Forward Avenue and Nine Mile Run Trail Closure Extended in Pittsburgh →PennDOT is announcing long-term closure of Commercial Street/Forward Avenue and Nine Mile Run Trail in the City of Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, has been extended until Friday, February 13 weather permitting.
Due to winter weather, the Commercial Street/Forward Avenue closure between Whipple Street and Summerset Drive has been extended through Friday, February 13. The Nine Mile Run Trail will also remain closed to all bicycle and pedestrian traffic between the Nine Mile Run parking lot on the Swisshelm Park side and the Frick Park Commercial Street Parking lot on the Squirrel Hill side until this time. Motor vehicle traffic will continue to be detoured.

Throughout February, the District 5 office will host meetings across D5 neighborhoods to engage directly with residents. The Squirrel Hill South meeting will be held Wednesday, February 25 from 6:30pm-8pm at Levinson Hall in the Jewish Community Center, 5738 Forbes Ave.
