Pittsburgh Stands with Puerto Rico Disasters relief efforts. Working to help not only Puerto Rico but other places where the help is needed based on available resources.

Pittsburgh stands with Puerto Rico started organically, when a group of Puerto Rican community leaders in Pittsburgh got together to respond to Hurricane Maria's disaster. Thanks to their passion and love for Puerto Rico, along with Pittsburgher's desire to help the land of Roberto Clemente, this group led a very successful donation drive that impacted the lives of more than 300 families in the mo

st needed communities in Puerto Rico. During our first trip, donations (over 50,000 pounds), traveled to Puerto Rico with the Pittsburgh Pirates, and in collaboration with a grassroots organization in Puerto Rico called "Mochileando", we provided one week supplies to families in San Sebastian, Morovis, Orocovis, Coamo and Catano. We are now getting ready for a 2nd trip, to continue to impact the lives of Puerto Ricans in need. Pittsburgh Stands With Puerto Rico will continue to collaborate with grassroots organizations in Puerto Rico and activate specific needs as requested.
