$11.3 million in grants is heading to 40 organizations working to connect young people in southwestern Pennsylvania to careers that pay life-sustaining wages.

Workforce is now a core strategy for the Endowments, joining Arts & Culture, Civic Participation, Climate Environment & Health, Community & Economic Development, Food Systems, and Veterans. These Workforce grants span 10 counties and support everything from pre-apprenticeship programs to childcare access to long-term research.

Thrilled to have Junior Achievement of Western PA at the Energy Innovation Center! The Introduction to the Construction Trades students explored career pathways in the trades through virtual reality! This amazing group of students will graduate this Friday and they are ready to work!

A big thank you to Doug Knepper and Cara Tygard at JA for helping them learn about the options available in the building trades!

Disability Lead is a transformative organization that supports emerging and established disabled leaders. Their award-winning leadership program is designed for individuals with disabilities who are eager to explore their identity, expand their leadership skills, and influence inclusion across sectors. For 10 years they have supported leaders in Chicago, now they are coming to make the Pittsburgh region a national leader in expanding access for disabled people where decisions are made.
