Celebrating 15 Years of Lending Hearts ❤️

This June marks a special milestone as we celebrate 15 years of Lending Hearts, and the impact we've made together in the lives of children and young adults living with cancer and their families.

At our final board meeting of the year, we also held board elections and are excited to welcome our newest board member, Erin M. Puko-Wilking, CPA, CIA, to the Lending Hearts family. We look forward to the passion, perspective, and leadership she will bring to our mission.

We are also pleased to share that our Executive Committee remains unchanged, providing the steady leadership and dedication that continue to guide our organization forward. Thank you to Elizabeth Wild, Mary Jo Capozzoli, RN, BSN, Michael Gregory, and Jocelyn Kramer for your ongoing commitment and service.

As we reflect on the past 15 years, we are grateful for our board members, volunteers, supporters, and community partners who have helped make our work possible. Here's to continuing to make a difference together.

Tomorrow is the first Friday of the month, and our Lending Hearts boxed lunches will be available for all patients and families in both the inpatient and clinic oncology areas at UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh!

Many thanks to everyone at Point Park University's Pittsburgh Playhouse and all our Lending Hearts families who joined us Saturday for the Playhouse’s production of Ascend!

Not only was it a spectacular performance, but we were fortunate to have a preshow tour of the Playhouse Theater and post show meet and greet with the performers.

The Pittsburgh Playhouse moved from Oakland to Downtown Pittsburgh in 2018. It was a new build that includes multiple theaters among its 90,000 sq ft, but part of the site was the former bank tower. It was wonderful to see elements of the bank that continue to reside in the theater...including the vault.

We can’t wait to take our families to more of their wonderful shows!
