Lending Hearts Lending Hearts provides emotional, social & physical support to children and young adults living with cancer through unique activities and community outreach.

Our vision is a world where children and young adults living with cancer don’t feel alone. According to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh (CHP), approximately 9000 children and adolescents are seen each year in their oncology department. Pittsburgh has world class medical facilities, decorated sports teams and acclaimed regard for the arts. What the city does not have an organization focused on pe

diatric cancer support outside of the hospital setting. These youth need an organization to call their own through which they can interact with their peers and not feel different. They need an opportunity to be with those who are experiencing similar changes. These youth not only have to stay strong against cancer, but they also have to deal with the daily demands of being a child or teenager in today’s society. They need an opportunity to escape those daily stresses. They deserve the opportunity to engage in social activities and enriching experiences.

Celebrating 15 Years of Lending Hearts ❤️

This June marks a special milestone as we celebrate 15 years of Lending Hearts, and the impact we've made together in the lives of children and young adults living with cancer and their families.

At our final board meeting of the year, we also held board elections and are excited to welcome our newest board member, Erin M. Puko-Wilking, CPA, CIA, to the Lending Hearts family. We look forward to the passion, perspective, and leadership she will bring to our mission.

We are also pleased to share that our Executive Committee remains unchanged, providing the steady leadership and dedication that continue to guide our organization forward. Thank you to Elizabeth Wild, Mary Jo Capozzoli, RN, BSN, Michael Gregory, and Jocelyn Kramer for your ongoing commitment and service.

As we reflect on the past 15 years, we are grateful for our board members, volunteers, supporters, and community partners who have helped make our work possible. Here's to continuing to make a difference together.
