Caring Hearts Ministry A ministry to the needy people of San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico.

Caring Hearts Ministry is an interdenominational non-profit comprised of those who simply want to allow Jesus to use them in ways that minister His love to the people of San Luis, Rio Colorado, Sonora Mexico. Our goal at Caring Hearts Ministry is to deliver the hope and love of Christ and empower life change to the people in Mexico through our fulfillment of our Matthew 25 commission to - feed the

Both girls are celebrating birthdays and both have been approved for life-changing surgeries in the United States.

These mothers have loved and cared for their daughters through childhoods of hardship. They are so hopeful for the relief and improvements these medical treatments can provide.

We thank The Luskin Orthopadeic Institue for Children in Alliance with UCLA Health for approving a surgery address Danna's Scoliosis and Shriners Children's of Northern California that will treat Italy's
Spina Bifida.

As a part of the Caring Hearts Family, we ask that you assist in two ways.
1) Pray for the success of each surgery, safety in travel and ease in all the logistics.
2) Donate to help these families with the cost that will arise as they travel.
God bless you for your kindness.
Your generosity will truly change the lives of these precious families.

Happy Birthday Pedro!!!

Your heart for the Oasis boys is incredible! The love, grace, patience and acceptance you demonstrate to them will leave a lasting impact on their lives! We are so thankful that God called you to this place all those years ago and that you have allowed Him to sustain you, and this ministry, for so long!

We pray this next year will be filled with an abundance of love and peace and a continued reliance on God's sustaining power and authority!

Jeremiah 17:7-8 ~ “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose trust is the Lord. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit.”

Thanks to the generosity of Katherine Turner and the folks at Baja Bridges (a great organization to support) Italy and Lili have transportation to Italy's spinal surgery at Shriners in Sacramento! God is good! The mother-daughter team has also been accepted to stay at the Kiwanis Family House during their 10 week stay. This is where we could you some help. We are raising funds for their $60/day stay plus spending money for their time in the US. Could you cover a meal $20, a night's stay $60, a full day's needs $100, or their 10 weeks lodging $4,200? Please contribute at a level that works for you. Select the "2026 Surgery Support Fund" when you donate at CaringHeartsMexico.org/Donate. God bless you! Your kindness will change the lives of these two without a doubt!

The Shut-In Ministry - Pastor Gary Simpson

For more years than I can remember, a dynamic lady named Inés has run our ministry to shut-ins in San Luis. This indefatigable woman cares for well over forty people who are either incapacitated or too sick to leave their home.

Ines took us to see a woman way outside of town where the land is flat and desolate. This area used to be part of the dump which was burned and covered with a foot or two of sand. Here and there, lots, marked with rows of old tires and small shacks made out of wooden skids, cardboard, and plastic sheeting dotted the barren landscape. Our group pulled up to one and we were met by a woman named Norma. She had beautiful eyes set in a tired and weathered face.

Norma sat in a wheelchair working at a sink that was set on four legs right outside her door. Her home was tiny and part of it didn’t even have a roof. She and her teenaged son, who is autistic, made piñatas out of cardboard boxes and newspapers to try and eke out a living. Someone had built the beginnings of a kiosk in the yard by the road where she hoped to hang the piñatas for sale. The sad irony is that they were so isolated there was no traffic of any kind, nor would she be able to get to it because wheelchairs don’t work in sand.

We talked with her through our interpreter, Isaias, and prayed with her. Isaias noticed the boy was wearing a crystal on a string around his neck and asked him about it. He said someone had given it to him to ward off evil spirits. Isaias took it from him and promised to replace it with a cross. The next day, my wife, Reneé, went shopping and bought two crosses so the young boy could choose which one he wanted.

Please pray for Norma and her son, and also pray for Inés as she works tirelessly to visit and care for her patients. Returning to the states, to my house, my hot shower, and my king size bed, I thought of Norma and her son, sleeping in that half-built shack. I felt spoiled and even guilty for having so much when they had so little, but I also remembered that feeling pity for someone is of no value to them. It made Reneé and I rethink our giving and our commitment to Caring Hearts.

In the parable of the sheep and goats in Matthew 25, Jesus said, “I was sick and you looked after me.” That’s what Caring Hearts does through Inés and all the volunteers who go to San Luis and accompany her.
