Understanding Behavior to Improve Life Outcomes

Children show how they feel on the inside through outward manifestations of behavior. These behaviors may be concerning, harmful, or mischievous. Whatever the reason for the behavior, it is a way of communicating feelings and self-perceptions.

Adults who develop curiosities about a child’s challenging behavior stand the best chance of understanding it and equipping the child to successfully mange their behavior.
